My Hi-bird 200gy had .7mi on it after I put it all togeather.
Im not sure if they test drive the entire bike or if they just test the Odometer alone to see if it works. Im wondering what kind of milege reading other people are seeing out of the box.

The difference in milage leads me to believe that they must actually test ride the bikes. If it was a simple Odometer test alone it would probably be more of a consistant number imo but im not sure. I suspect that some of the mileage is accumulated simply from pushing the bike around in the warehouse and whatnot.
Coming out of the crate, assembly to first ride, my 06' Sierra 200 had 0.6 miles on it. After two days of riding, she's up to 62.4 miles

I highly doubt they test ride each bike. I am willing to bet my bottom dollar on it. Most of the bikes are not even near put together, completely dry on gas tank & carb, wheels never been on, bearings never greased, brake calipers in a bag. They may test the speedo or it is likely when they put them together the 10th of a mile just is not perfectly at 0. But to say they put them together and take ever bike for a spin and then sit and take them back apart is just silly. Do you know how much time they would waste putting the bikes together, taking them for a spin, draining the tank and carb and taking the bikes back apart again and putting everything back in a sealed bag? :D

Mine was used with 4km's on the odometer. The original owner purchased it, had it assembled then rode it around the driveway and was too scared to ride it. I bought it after it was parked in the garage for 2 years.
