If any of you guys decide to attach a case to yours, keep an eye on the welds and stress points. Mine finally bit the dust after 3100miles. I know I was probably riding too hard with too much in the case most of the time, but that's just how it is  Dad decided not to bother welding it again since it just broke in a different location this second time. He said he'll make a rack support for the new rack when I get it, that will bolt right to the frame under the center of the fender.
Any of you dealers have a replacement rack handy? Cost?

i already have a jc whitney case on the way to my doorstep, it will be on the bike as soon as i finish putting it together. i will look into a good solution for this problem as well as the exhaust and maybe the oil cooler when i get all the parts here.

I've been hauling 100 lb feed bags all fall with mine. But, it's just from my truck to the feeder (about half a mile off road) and the bags are layed lengthwise across the seat/rack which distributes the weight a little better. Haven't had any problems with that, at least, and hope I don't cause that's sorta what I got it for.

Jason,
I have a parts list for Hi-Bird that has the rack listed. Tom from RPM should be able to get the part for you. Bruce from EJ Cycles said he stocks many of the replacement parts for Lifan (probably the exact same thing as the Hi-Bird and your Roketa). You should write them directly or call them.

I just saw you were looking for an oil cooler for your roketa. Is there one for the lifan because i would like to get an oil cooler on the bike to prolong the life of it.If i can't get one on a lifan i will buy a roketa if there is an oil cooler for it thanks

These engines do not have an oil pump.
They most certainly do have an oil pump.

Sorry then, I was given some bad information if this is the case.

yeah, most engines need an oil pump, otherwise, how would the oil be circulated? :)

Whoever comes up with a replacement rack will get an order from me as well.. I want to add it onto my Roketa DB-05, that does not have a rack.

Our engines are not equipped with an oil pump, it uses splash lubrication. You would have to install an electric oil pump to circulate the oil through the cooler. This is where you would run into problems.

Yeah, these bikes DO have an oil pump. That WAS misinformation. These bikes use a gear type oil pump to lube the engine components and splash for the tranny.
For the two here, Fatboy250 and NewEnglandTrails, that have asked about the rear racks, I do have some Hi-Bird GY-200 racks coming in this week and they seem to be the best fit for most of the bikes I have seen many here have. I have PM'ed you guys with a price and when you are ready, I will be happy to help.
Bruce has access to the Lifan racks as I do, but you may be able to save a little shipping if he is closer to you.
Let me know if I can help further.
Thanks, guys!
