I am in need of:
a Locking Fuel Cap for my ATV
a copy of the Owners User/Service Guide
where to buy parts

Make : LIFAN
Model : LF125ST-5
Engine : 125cc
Year : 2006

Also is it true that HONDA parts are compatible... if yes which model ??

Some Honda parts may interchange. It really depends. Does you atv have the horizontal cylinder on the engine with the carb on the top?

The locking gas cap may be tough to get. Depends if it is a screw on or a snap on type.

Allen

what he said  ^^^^^^

I understand wanting a cap that doesn't leak when the atv rolls. Are your buds stealing your gas again?

Yep thought so.
:D

Can you post a pic with what you've got and measurements, maybe another member has seen what you need. No promises, but it's worth a shot.

Okay, that makes sense.

Not sure, but you could put a hasp and padlock on it.

Hasp is a piece of hardware that you would use to secure gates/doors etc.

It wouldn't look good.

You may want to look into something like this. You would need to drill a hole in the cap to mount it.

Thanks mate ,
I think i will have to find a cap that can be replaced with mine as i don't think putting a lock would be an option as the cap has got some kind of air mechanism so i can't drill it ....

I wish we could ride quads on the street here, in the so-called "free" US.

I just have to ask: Of what good would a locking gas cap be, when someone could just slip the fuel line off and have easy access to the gas? (If I were a thief, even if the cap wasn;t locked, I'd probably use the fuel line....so much easier than siphoning!)

Maybe it's more an issue of somebody dumping something in the tank rather than stealing fuel.

BTW, the last time I was in Montana and Wyoming, people were riding quads on the street. It's a state thing.

Very true. I have a friend who moved to Idaho from Montana. He still has the Montana license plate on his ATV. He owns a Polaris 500cc Sportsman; he claims it will do 70 mph, and he used to ride it to work. ;)
