So, I have a tent trailer that I pull with a Ford Windstar minivan and I was wondering how I could take my bike with me. I have thought about putting it on the roof of the trailer, but that seems unsafe. I have also looked into mounting it to the back but I don't know how. Since you are all chinabike / fabrication geniuses I figured that you would be able to help me figure this out. I would appreciate any ideas that you have.

Tent trailer ??? would that be a pop-up trailer ?

How about some pics of the trailer.

Is there room to put a ramp and some tiedown hooks to secure the bike across the front of the trailer right on the tongue close to the camper/tent box.

I have bought two sets of steel loading ramps from Harborfreight that I feel are just great and didnt cost to much.A set is two ramps.

I used one upside down and added folding table legs to make an elevated bike work stand on the cheap.

I'm thinking you might be able to fasten one ramp across the front of the trailer and use the other to just roll the bike up and then tie it down with tiedowns.
You'd still need a wheel chock for the front tire though.

I did almost this exact thing on our utility trailer I had my bike setup to go arcoss the front of the trailer and my wifes quad just loaded in from the back ramp.

Heres a picture of the ramp mounted upside down and with my now mostly un-used wheel chock.

And here it is all loaded.

I know a pop trailer is different and there may not be enough room but if it has a Y-type tongue on it then all you should have to do is move whatever is in the way there and use U-bolts to secure the ramp and attach a wheel chock and find tie-down points to use.

Or if you can find a motorcycle ramp that uses the hitch on your truck and also allows you to trailer still then you'd be set but I dont think they make those.
