It's gonna run me about $663 after shipping. I got a feeling I'm on my own for parts if anything happens, the seller is a trading assistant. I'll post some pics when it gets here. They have a 200cc enduro for $555, incase anyone is interested, didn't have any bids on their last auction.

Very vintage look, pretty cool.. No Paypal though, that would bother me, I'd skip over it just for that and the no pickup thing.. Good luck though, keep us posted...

Yeah, the no paypal thing kinda discouraged me, but the guy did have good feedback on his other stuff and he knows about these groups and the review I wrote on ebay for china bikes, so I feel confident that I'll get the bike, just not sure of the quality. Can anyone can tell me who makes this bike? I've seen it before on another site that carried Lifans, so I'm assuming it's made by them.

Terminator is the old Roketa name. Terminator and Roketa are made by Zongshen. Great bikes. In fact they still use their terminator web address for their Roketa bikes.

You'll be able to get all your parts there. Go to the DIRTBIKES link. The DB03 is the first one there and there is a link to inquire about parts. This is their main import site for US sales. Ride on!

bike #6?
It says the seat height on the Terminator is 29". Do you think this would fit a 5'3" woman?

Measure the inseam of her leg and go from there as women come in all shapes and sizes.. The bike suspension will compress some when she sits on it unless she's like 100 pounds, hope this helps...

I'm not gonna count this one as it will be for sale after I get it titled. I'm gonna see what the response is when I try to sell it. I've been debating on being a dealer, just need a little motivation. I think ATV's would sell better down here, but I also know the punishment us rednecks put them through and don't think there is a low cost adult chinese ATV that would hold up. The kid sizes would probably be the best bet.
Do you think this would fit a 5'3" woman?
Measure her inseam  this will give you a better idea. My son is 5'8 and rides the Kazuma more than his KE100. This would be a good starter bike for her.

Women usually have longer legs; in other words, a man standing 5'3" would have less of a chance sitting on the same bike. I would tend to think that this bike would be a good size for a woman that size.
(the old Honda CT-70 trail bikes had a 29" seat height if I am recalling correctly, and seemed like a good size for a teenager.)
Any idea if this bike would be able to be registered in Tennessee? At 150cc, it it legal on interstate, or only on smaller roads? Also, the tires don't look as knobby as the Lifan 200GY. Would it do ok offroad?

bfe71730, the rep from Shineray said that they OEM for Terminator--however, they seem to be identical to the Zongshens (one of those "mmmmm" moments; like which company actually manufactures ALL these bikes?!)
I like the look of that thing, reminds me of my old Suzuki GS550 and Honda XL350. Im going to buy one of these just to crash it lol

there's little over a day left, it's only $330 now.
Are we all going to be bidding against each other? lol
I hope not, I have talked to the seller they have "several" of the bikes in stock, whatever "several" means. It may be a month before I can buy one, finishing up my turbo BMW right now, shit is expensive... Fuck, I wish they guy would have given me a clear answer on how many they got...

I have had a couple and I like um. I have one in the barn now. They have a street front tire and a very mild knobby in the rear. they can be tagged (at least in KY.) I talked to a guy I sold one to and his wife has put about 1000 mi. on so far with no problems. The one thing that is a bit different is that they use a rotary shifter. Overall I like them.

well, it finally arrived, I met the UPS LTL freight driver in town today and brought it home. My son had all his friends over from school so I had plenty of help putting it together. All I can say is it's a very old school designed bike, reminds me of an old XL 185s I used to have. It kicked over on the 4th try, had to adjust the carb, after that it ran like a top. I looked at the manifest and it showed it was shipped out of Canada by a company called Goldenvale Inc. The organization I bought it from was a Trading assistant on E-bay(mymac9) which I must say they were very helpful with tracking and communication. I'll post pics tomorrow in my album. oh, BTW, it is the perfect size for a smaller person's first bike, it has a gear indicator which comes in handy, the transmission is rotary. didn't think I would like it, but when you coast up to a stop sign, just shift it down 2 clicks and your in first again, will take some getting used to if I ride it a lot.

How's the riding been with the DB03?
Can you comment on top speed, mpg, cruising speed with stock gearing, comfort, etc? I'm really considering one of these for my girlfriend.
I think I saw it listed with 21" F and 18" R tires like our 200's, is that correct?
Also, does the MSO have motorcycle on it or dirtbike?
Thanks,
Jason

This bike is definately made for the smaller adults or teenagers. It does need a smaller rear sprocket, the one on it now is a 46 tooth, but with a 16in wheel, so in comparison it's like my kazuma when I first got it with a 56 tooth, if that makes any since. It has plenty of power, I think the motor is rated at 10hp. I haven't ridden it much, probably gonna resale it if my wife doesn't ride it. It will do 45-50 comfortably, haven't wound it out since it's still in the break-in period. I did post a couple of pics in my gallery album yesterday. I felt it was a pretty good deal for $663 shipped, I've seen them elsewhere on the net going for over $800. assembly was very easy, handelbars, front wheel and mirrors. After getting the carb adjusted and going over some key nuts and bolts it took about an hour and 1/2.

Push rod engine? I'm assuming it would be.
I guess that would be a 19" front then?
Also, the seat looks to be more cushion than the one on the 200's.
You better tell your wife to ride it so we can get an honest woman's opinion. You know that's what I'll get if I got one for my girl.

I would say the seat is about equal, it does come off easily to access the tool kit. Front wheel is 18in and the engine is OHV(pushrod) design.

Can you tell me what the stamp is on the carb? PZ27 perhaps??
Also, was the MSO marked motorcycle?
Jason
bfe71730
03-17-2007, 10:50 AM
yes, the carb is stamped pz27, it's the same carb I bought off ebay and installed on a 200s atv. there isn't anything filled out on the MSO except for the vin # and model #. I dunno what is instore for me when I go to get a title for it.

03-19-2007, 06:07 PM
In KY. they are as easy to title as any GY. I have sold several and the folks who decided to title em haven't had any problems. I have one in the garage that I may send down to the shop and sell. I brought it home thinking my wife would ride it.(no such intrest as yet)

I bought this one for my wife, but after hitting that damm dog last week she don't want anything to do with it. I even ordered a smaller rear sprocket to boost the topend. I'll post the results in another month or so after my ribs and collarbone heal up.

I'm about fully recovered, left arm is still a little weak, but have got full movement. I've been busy catching up on stuff around the house from the past month being disabled. I've got a smaller sprocket to put on the 150 and a front tube to install on my 200, the original one went flat after the valve stem came off the tube, can't complain too much, it did go 3000 miles on the cheap rubber.

I'm on the verge of getting a DB-03 for my girlfriend. Any passing thoughts on the subject. I would likely get the smaller sprocket as you suggested. What did you end up getting? I would think a 38-40 tooth sprocket would make this more of a daily driver at speed.
Also, have you had any other major problems with yours? You know, besides the dog??

Jason, I think they are great bikes overall. Old but reliable tech. I have heard they won't be produced anymore. How true that is I don't know. For what they are though they are pretty good. If you were closer I'd give a deal on one gathering dust in the garage.

you did good on price but im pretty sure that bike has the rotary tranny. which if you carefully you'll still sift from 4 to 1 and thats bad.
good luck im a dealer if you need parts at a good price shipped and i take paypal. lol
have fun. tell me how everythings going so far.

The little pitbike I bought has a rotary tranny --- all down - n-1-2-3-4-n-1-2-3-4.... over and over. (or up n-4-3-2-1-etc) So you don't go from 4th to 1st, you hit nuetral and know all you have to do is pull back up on it and you're back in 4th.
I was worried about it at first, but it's really not that bad - and I think it's very easy to get used to.

It should be 1 down 4 up like normal. I'm sure mule or bfe could confirm this.

05-10-2007, 07:25 PM
It's an "international" shift pattern. 1,2,3,4,5,n etc. If you have not done a lot of riding the shift pattern is probably eaiser to learn on. It's really hard to go from 1 to 4/5 because you hit N before 1st and it's kind of hard to push it from 4/5 to1. I'd guess this is by design.

That auction kinda makes me nervous. He sells nothing but pez dispensers for 99c. Now he's selling china bikes, no pickups, no paypal. Im sure he takes paypal for his pez stuff. How does ebay handle a dispute if they have no record of the actual transaction? I would offer to pay him paypal +3% or whatever charge is, just so your protected.

well, even though I'm selling both bikes, I went ahead and put the smaller rear sprocket on the DB03(terminator). Went down from a 45 tooth to a 34 tooth, ordered it from JT sprockets #JTR802-34, kawasaki ke100 was the cross reference. The bolt holes lined up perfectly, had to do some fitting with a moto tool on the hub, the center hole was just a bit too small to sit flush on the hub. Now it will keep up with the Kazuma at highway speeds. I really haven't rode it enough to have any problems, I did have to fix a headlight connection and go over all the mounting bolts when I first got it, but that is common on any china bike. It's up to 32 miles on it now after my test ride so if anyone is interested or knows someone looking to buy a couple of china bikes, they can get both of mine for $1500, pics are in my gallery.
