I seriously doubt these will be allowed on the roads for long but they are interesting.

They also have a truck version listed.

I couldn't find a link to the company -- everything I clicked on took me back to E-bay.

TC, thank you for sharing another great link! :D

That is a very nice little vehicle! I especially like the accessories: AM/FM Radio with Cassette Player, Sun Roof, Four Door with Hatch Back, Front and Rear Heater, Tire Jack and Spare Tire. :D

That trike would make a great little vehicle for commuting to work and running around town. I don't think you would have any problems squeezing that trike into a tight parallel parking space. ;)

They have a website under construction:

I found some videos of the Wildfire 650 on YouTube. :) The MSRP on the car is $7,781, and the MSRP on the pickup truck is $7,166.

TC, thank you for sharing another great link! :D

Its what I do.........Your welcome.

Those look a bit thinner and very comfy compared to the other style of trikes being sold down the street from me at $9995.

I like the MPG's (claimed up to 70mpg) but I just think they will be banned soon as they are a bit unsafe (IMO) and some yahoo will get killed in one.(I hope not)
I just dont think we have the mentality to operate those here in this country in a general population sort of way.

I have to say I'd buy two of those before buying one smart car but only after seeing some crash data 8O .

EDIT :
So I'd have to wear a helmet here in michigan.
I want to know where the off-road dualsport version is.

It would be pretty hard to ban them since they are classified as a Motorcycle. They just dont have to have the safety requirements a actual car has.

I assume they make that known before the buyer drives it off the lot.

I would have them sign a waiver....

"Here Sir, Read this and sign it before we sell the Trike to you."

Cute, but they look awful tippy to me. Maybe you need to open the door and lean a little in the tighter turns.

Well, I am afraid that the Wildfire 650 did not get the greatest review from Car and Driver magazine. :(

http://www.caranddriver.com/features/columns/c_d_staff/john_phillips/wildfire_wf650_c_column

The comments that disturb me most concern the quality control. A reviewer at the end of the article states: "A used car dealer here is selling them....I stopped and looked at their line up this morning out of curiosity. The "bodywork" looked like cottage cheese (dents, waffled body edges)and there was already rust dripping down the sides. Lug nuts were rusted over. Interior metal already had surface rust showing...good gas mileage isnt worth this! I actually thought they were used Chinese vehicles that has been dolled up and been brought over here to be used on farms....[sic]."

The author at Car and Driver also comments: "Our test vehicle’s stereo was preloaded with a cassette of Asian music, possibly left there inadvertently by Wildfire’s director of quality control, whose philosophy on fit and finish might well be, “How about we just finish?” A witty comment, but it doesn't inspire confidence. :(

Your comment is insightful. A Wildfire owner definitely needs to remember to drive this vehicle like a trike, not an automobile.

The reviewer at Car and Driver comments that "the Wildfire lifts its inside rear wheel like a beagle at a fire hydrant...".
