My wife has a 2007 JMStar 250 scooter. I THINK I have a problem with the after market fuel pump that was put on before we bought it. It keeps blowing the 15 amp in-line fuse by the battery. So, I want to remove it. (The previous owner told me the guy before him added it just to get consistent fuel pressure at higher speeds - which I don't really care about.) So, I'd like to remove the add-on fuel pump but I'm not exactly sure where the original fuel lines were routed. There is a vacuum type canister with nothing hooked to it, so I know that is part of the fuel system... but I'm not sure of the exact fuel line routing. I'd like to have a technical (or shop) manual for both the fuel system and the electrical system for this scooter. If anyone has any ideas where to get one, I'd appreciate it. I haven't found ANYTHING helpful on the jmstar web site.

Welcome tdelap,
it sounds like you just need to change out the fuel pump.Having the electric is much better then the vacuum system.Do you have a picture of your pump? This is a popular pump.

Allan & KMan... Thanks Very Much! I had toured around OregonVintage.com before... very nice (and helpful!) site. So - no way to get a SPECIFIC manual just for this Shanghai JMStar 250 Scooter, huh? I haven't found ANYTHING on the internet that's SPECIFIC to this particular brand of scooter. I'm sure the OregonVintage stuff will point me in the rigth direction though... Thanks Again!

I am not aware a manual specific to your scoot. They are all pretty similar.
I think that site has some of the best scooter info.
