I ride almost exclusicely on the street. What tire pressure should I use to extend tire life. What are you guys running?

Thanx,
I wasn't sure about the rating on the tire since is for on/off use.

Tire pressures printed on the tire are generally maximum pressures. Ride what feels comfortable and secure.

For the road, little deflection in each tire at the contact patch, with your weight on the bike, increases the contact patch size. Dont go so low that you get a lot of sidewall flex, then it starts feeling mushy and unsure.

Just slightly mushy is about right for trails that are soft like sand, harder pressures for harder surfaces.

With the new Barracudas I've been running 20-22psi and it rides great. Again as ob1 said, it's a compromise between too low and getting side wall flex and too high where the ride is harsh and you're getting premature wear right in the center of the tire.

Round 30psi seems good for us.
