my bike was drop shipped, i had no damage at all, it was actually packaged really freaking well...
i've heard stories of plastics getting scuffed, but not with the lifan gy5's, it seems they come pretty bundled up...

Cali to Sunny FLA, all the way across the country and not a scratch, this thing was packed very well...
Cracked rear fender/license plate mount. RacewayATV had a new one to me in a couple days. Mine was not drop shipped it was custom crated partially dissasembled off their showroom floor so it was not as well protected. See pic:

Cracked engine casing, torn seat, broken luggage rack and bent kick stand. In hindsight I wouldn't have accepted the shipment. Cardboard was damaged and steel shipping frame slightly bent. Didn't look that bad on the outside. Powersports Max replaced engine, but I'm living with the other damage after self repair. It was an adventure I wouldn't want to repeat. My advice if the crate is damaged in any way do not accept the shipment and notify the seller, shipper and credit card company asap.

Front hub cracked. I didn't notice this until the bike was assembled & I saw the front disc pushing the caliper back & forth on the test ride. I'm bummed!

When I was selling bikes, I had one come in an order of four bikes that a fork on a fork lift bent the frame of the shipping crate and broke the sidecover, scratched the tank, and cut the seat on a little 90cc XR70 clone. Forward Air insurance covered it and I got the parts in the mail from the wholesaler in a couple of weeks. It was some moron fork lift operator working for forward air, I'm sure.
All my bikes came in steel crates.

Two tiny scratches on rear fender under the cargo rack. I picked mine up from show room and didn't see the scratches until I removed the rack to put on the luggage. By the way the scratches are formed I am pretty sure they are from the shipping to the dealer.
