Qingdao, how many kms do you have. I know you made a big trip.

It has taken me 2 years and 1 month to cover the 10,000 miles.

We had some members with alot more miles, but they seemed to have dissappeared.

I see Spud has not reported in yet either.

I should mention that with all these miles I have never been stranded and the lifan has only been trailered they day I bought it.

It has about 2 more months before it is getting the full dirt treatment. Then we will see how it holds up. :D

My Lifan GY5 now has about 11,000 km. No engine problems except for the Chinese made NGK sparkplug. One of the tabs that holds the tail light and turn signals cracked off the frame after hundreds of miles of washboard roads in Death Valley. Just bungi corded it in place then welded it when I got home.

The 110cc Lifan engines I have on my old Trail 90s are also working great with somewhere around 1,500 miles. No problems.

1,000 miles on my Lifanoid. Almost all off pavement. Usual mild problems.

Mufler bracket broke off, muffler almost fell off. Repaired.
CDI on it's way out, new one ordered.
Fender and headlight shell broke in very minor off road tip over. Repaired.
Battery leaked acied on frame. Repaired and area repainted.
Squealing front brake. Repaired.
Front heat shield rotted off. Ignored.

Spud's on a Zong, not a Lifanoid.

Poll is open to any china bike. Zongs too. Spud has over 10k miles too.

Also for those interested. To get miles from kms just multipy by the total kms by .621 and you get miles.

We had some that were in the neighborhood of 20k miles at one point.

Phil, scooters count too. The only criteria is it has to be chinese.

5500, That trip was a whooping 1000miles 8O from MO to SC and all I lost was a few engine mount bolts and an exhaust gasket. :D

I only put 3500 on my GY5, and about 1100 on my GY6. Sadly I no longer have a China Bike... My Kawasaki I've put 14,000 km on though. I would like another China bike, but in my new place I don't have room to park 2 bikes, and I don't have the money to own 2. I kept the Kawasaki because I do some bike trips that are better suited to it, and it has depreciated more then the value of my China bike, so I didn't want to loose all that money.

A few motor mount bolts :o That doesn't sound good ;) I'm sure you've gotten them all replaced :)

Of course. There are like 11 mounts on the Longbo so as I lost them I wasn't too concerned.

11? I never counted them on my Lifan, only had a problem with one.

I think there are more on the Longbos and Sunls cause the frame they use is made for the Tank parallel twin.

I'll report now, Allen. :) I was very busy teaching motorcycle rider safety for Idaho STAR this weekend.

I have traveled over 11,000 miles on my Zongshen Sierra 200GY-2. I experienced my first mechanical failure at 10,800 miles, a bad CDI unit. I replaced the failed CDI with a new one from Zongshen America for $25

If well maintained, the Zong is a rugged, reliable motorcycle.
