The guy I bought the last pit bike from called me and said he had another one I could have for free.

This one may be for parts though as the shift shaft is bent. We will see if it can be repaired.

Update.

Pushed it off the truck this morning. Gave it a kick and it fired up. Rode it around with it stuck in first gear.

Replave the shifter with a spare and attempted to bend the shaft back, but it didn't want to easily. I can shift it so I left it. Not used use to a 4 down pattern.

Straightened the brake pedal out. Straightened the twisted forks and replaced a missing nut on the exhaust.

Took it out to the woods for a ride. 2nd gear works great and it wheelies easily over logs. Just need some fenders for it now.

There's much that can be done to turn that into a decent little machine. We had the 50cc version (which we actually believe to be 70cc), and aftermarket Honda stuff bolted right on.

Yours already has a skidplate, but it still has that horrible two-stroke exhaust pipe. I'm not kidding; remove the seat and notice how the pipe necks down after a goofy expansion chamber. I bought a used CRF50 exhaust on eBay for cheap, fabricated a simple rear bracket for it, and bolted it on (with a little plastic trimming). I also bought a 45 degree intake for $10 from a local CB dealer, and installed it along with a fake K&N. The stock airbox is right in front of the rear wheel, allowing it to pack full of mud in minutes. The 45 degree intake solved that.

I cut off the factory pegs, kickstand and brake lever, and bolted on cheap aftermarket Honda stuff. The holes are already drilled and tapped in the bottom of the engine to accept the hardware. The brake lever took some minor fabrication, but it was totally worth it. The bike had decent ground clearance after that. Yours might already have that stuff; kind of hard to tell.

I dismantled the rear shock and made a shock extender that lifted the bike antother inch or so, and I drilled another mounting hole that placed the shock back a bit for even more lift.

The frame and plastic is all based on the Yamaha PW80 / TTR-90 stuff, so chain sliders and bodywork are easy to find.

A new exhaust from another CB (a Gio 125 would be a good choice) will feel like you're splitting atoms compared to that awful stocker.

Have fun!

I had alot of fun with it just like it is. I noticed the airbox was not in a good place and I saw how the pegs are mounted. I had to tightened them up too.

This thing runs great. Will be worth putting alittle effort into. It goes enough for me right now and most likely will be a loaner for inexperienced riders so no hi-po mods for now.

I do have a set up honda style pegs and another brake lever from so of the other bikes. Also I need to swap a rear tire onto it from one for xr80 parts bikes.

I think the rear fender from the kazuma may fit. Also I think I will get another knock-off uni for it with a mud baffle.
