Hey Guys,
W&G and I got the Beast's out today for a little saddle time in what we dubbed Test and Tune day.
The Red Beast performed adequately for it's dollar value! :) The carb is still flakey, wants to idle real high. Mikuni a necessity for sure. I had some minor issue with the shifting, didn't want to come out of reverse at one spot. Thought my day was done but it miraculously started working again and gave me no problems from then on. Not sure what that was about. We had given it fresh 10-40 Motorcyle oil before leaving.
W&G was happy to try out his new Speedo Mod, which I think clocked us close to 70 km/hr at one point. Take my word for it, it feels like 170km/hr with the suspensions tossing you around and the entire unit vibrating.
I took some photos of course!
The 'twins' in a row, no, not the Swedish kind, no photos of Daniel and Henrik. (hockey joke)

I still think it might be a 'tad' small for me, but oh well. Talk of a lower geared sprocket for me, lugging me up hills a bit.

W&G in action: Through the creek, up the hill. His quote: "It's a little tractor!"

Some perspective on the hill W&G was climbing away from the creek. I didn't sissy out and went down and up this myself.

All and all a great day and weekend trying out the new toy. No broken parts or limbs.. W&G took on a rock at speed, and took a little whack, but he sucked it up like a man and rode onwards. W&G's Beast popped the exhaust gasket, and if not for the heat burning your leg it sounded way better. :)
Favourite moment of the day for me:
W&G was getting a little aggressive with me while riding some of the trails, thinking he was 'all that' and going to pass me, so I gave him a little tune up of my own... yeah, I moved left in front of him and hit that puddle at speed, giving him a good mud water rooster tail shower... yeah, that'll teach him.

P.S. Sorry for lack of professionally quality in the photos. It was raining today and was getting late in the afternoon, so the light was bad. It was almost dark while we were loading the rigs back in the truck.
