Maybe I'm not searching for the right words but I couldnt find anything about this international shift pattern I've heard about.
What is the shift pattern on chinese bikes? Is it the same as Japanese bikes?

That totally depends on the bike (or quad). We had one 50cc horizontal Honda clone bike that was four down. We currently have a 200cc quad that is one down for reverse, four up for forward gears. Most of the full size bikes are one down four up.

The baja 90 is all 4 gears down. I think all the dualsports here have been standard 1 down 4 up.

OK Thanks. The enduros are what I am interested in.

The ones I've looked at where 1 down 4/5 up. I think the ones I've looked at where the Lifans and Qlinks. I know one of the bikes I looked at about 5 years ago (I think Dialmo?) had the shift reversed kinda like a race bike, but all the one's I've come across in the last few years seem to be normal (for North America) shift patterns.
