Sweet! Thank you for posting, the Zong's are one of the best looking bikes out there in my opinion! 8)

That's a nice machine. 8) Did you paint the plastic, or did yours come in black? I've only ever seen orange Zongs so far.

SWEET! I also see you already got the FMF TC2!

Man.....I wish those things would become legel here in Cali, even for Green Stickered off road use, before the cows come home.........

Your Zong looks great; thank you for posting the photos! :) I see you removed the luggage rack. Did you use Krylon Fusion spray paint?

The black chrome is also pretty durable, Doc; mine is still in pretty good shape after 23,500 miles of riding. :)

Yes i did remove the luggage rack only because i was going for the supermoto look. But i think im going to add some smaller saddlebags because i have learned its really hard to accually try to carry stuff on this lol. I also used Krylon Fusion. Satin Black. It holds very well, but i am kinda contemplating on doing a black and tan theme. I jsut dont know what to tan and what to keep black! Input would be great on this subject!

Do you own Photoshop? You can post some modified photographs of your bike with different color schemes, and ask people to vote on them. ;) It's fun to run a poll, and you can get some good feedback from the forum members. :) I used this process when I was choosing my Zong's new color scheme. ;)

I don't own Photoshop either. ;) I use a free program called Gimp; it does everything I need. :)

I talked to my China Bike Guy briefly today. I didn't get a big chance to talk to him much about his trip to China he took for the month of May and business dealings, etc.....BUT I did ask him, "When the heck are we going to be able to get Zongs 200 Sierra's in the PRK!?"
He said.....not likely soon, but he thinks the Q-Link is legal to be green stickered here! :D He's going to check into it for me!....but he also said, "They're terribly expensive for a China bike. I can buy them for what I usually like to sell them for. The markup I'd have to put on for being a retailer puts me right in to the 'Why not just buy Japanese?' bracket."

The Zongshen Sierra 200GY-2 is not going to be imported into the United States in the future, LZ. :( Zongshen is going to replace the 200GY-2 with another bike, probably the 150cc, Zongshen ZS150GY-10 motorcycle.

Heck....I was just hoping to get a leftover!

That is a very nice looking motorcycle in the vid, though. The quality and finish look very nice! :D ....but I don't get two things. It's smaller in displacement....and why on Earth would someone water cool a 150cc 4 stroke!? Just more to service and break! :x

Some 2006 Zongs are still available for sale, but they are diminishing in number. ;) I understand when the leftover, 2006 bikes are gone, Zongshen will not be importing any more. :(

If you were building a 150 four stroke to the outer limits of compression, liquid cooling would make sense. Otherwise, what a nuisance.

Personally, I think Zongshen made a mistake when they decided to stop importing the 200GY-2 into the United States. ;) I can't help wondering if Yamaha had something to do with this decision. :?:

here is my take on it. I may be way off. The reason they are not importing any more is they still have not sold all the bikes from 2006. It just didnt work out like they thought it would. Too bad as I think it is the best deal out there. Replacing the 200 with a 150 probally wont work either.

I think you are correct on both points, Cal. ;) Needless to say, I agree with your assessment regarding the value of the Zongshen 200GY-2. When I bought my Zong, I essentially get a 2010, Yamaha TW200, for one-quarter of the Yamaha price. ;)
