Sunny and HOT today. I spent the weekend in Boise and came home to summer!

Naturally Q and I needed to celebrate!

Yup. That's a whole lot of desert up here. Desert? In Washington? That's what I said too!

On the dustry trail.

The picture doesn't do it justice but that is one nasty trail in the background. Q and I barely made it up. With much prayer. Deep dust and ruts...

Thanks for posting the nice photos, Doc. :) How are your new tires working out?

Very good!

I think it's a good setup for most of the trails that I ride.

I don't think the rear's going to last very long. I have maybe 500 miles on it and it shows a bit of wear already. I'm starting to think I'm hard on my tires.

Q's power output is very modest but many of the climbs here involve wheelspin on rocks, gravel, and hard dirt that wears the tire quickly.

Indeed, your terrain must punish the rear tire. ;) However, you can buy the Cheng Shin C755 for a very good price at Bike Bandit. :)

For my next rear tire I'll maybe spring for a Dunlop to match the front. I want to see if a higher quality/priced tire holds up better. Changing tires is a significant PIA so I'd spend more to do that task less often.
