Hey, I just noticed that the giobikes.com site now redirects to Parnus global trading (who ran the giobikes.com auction site). Have Giobikes just disappeared or do you think this is an IT error?

How's your X31 doing, make sure you loctite the bolt that holds the front of the seat, mine fell out the first long ride, also remove and loctite each bolt on your rear sprocket, i had mine all come loose after 40km, one came out far enought to bend and started squeaking, also make sure those steel tabs meant to keep the bolts from coming loose are bent down tight against the bolt head, and use both of the tabs, not just one.

Hmm still down for me...

It's been running really well! I've taken it all over the place on 4 rides so far and it's been pretty awesome. The rear brakes did overheat at one point and lock up, I think there was too much fluid in the resevoir and it locked up when it got hot and expanded. Let it cool and took a small amount out and hasn't happened since. Otherwise broke off the clutch lever but that was my own mistake during a small crash in the bush, replacing it only cost $7 at a local bike shop.

Thanks for the tip on locking the rear, I'll do that. I did the rest of the bike during assembly and haven't had any issues yet! (Knock on wood)

Hmmm, still working for me, this may be a good time to bid, 125cc dirt bike engine at $3.00 with 15 min left, lol.

I got lazy assembling the X31, all the bolts i needed to put in all had loctite on them from the factory so i thought i was good to go, i should have known better to go over everything, so i only need to find a new bolt for the front of the seat and the rear sprocket has a replacement bolt and the rest have been taken out and loctited and both tabs bent down so hopefully that will not be an issue again. I still have the CNC unbrakeable levers and the CNC throttle to put on it, i've heard that the CNC throttle needs a longer cable to work on the X31 though, we'll see.


PS: Hmmm.... must be working for other folks too, by the time i wrote this post that $3.00 engine is now $75.00

Yep, bids are highest on the weekends, it took me 2 weeks of bidding to finally get my X31 for $566. I wish this engine came in the beast, it works great.

That's really weird, I msned my wife who is in another city and she says giobikes is working fine, but even when I refresh or use another browser it keeps going to Parnus Global Trading. Either way.. I'm reassured, because I was planning on getting another 250 this summer :P
