Allen,
That'll be fine. It's just sitting in the garage now. I can hold on to it that long.
E-mail or PM when closer to the time you'll be coming through and we can make plans for the pick-up.

Its here. Let me know if anyone can use parts.

I think most of it can be salvaged. Electrical parts are probably the only concern.

Okay I have Bill's bike.

Here is his details on it.
I have a 2006 Lifan GY-5.
It was under 7 feet of water when Nashville flooded.
I don't have time to part it out or try to get it running.
If anyone near Nashville TN would want it, it's yours.
I hate to take it to a salvage yard if anyone has any interest.
Good parts that cost a bit:
It has Shenko 705 tires with less than 500 miles on them. Installed last year, then I got my MZ.
White Brothers Mini R-4 stainless exhaust system. Fits a Honda CRF-150. Direct fit for the GY 200 exhaust flange. Just needs an extension to hold the cannister.

I already sold (pretty much gave away) the engine, kickstarter, battery box, throttle cable.

Still have the rest of the bike and I will sell parts at very reasonable prices.

Here is a pic.

That is an excellent looking bike. I really like that head pipe.

katoranger

The titled frame is available too.

Brian, the whole exhaust is available. I know it is probably not a good time, but if you are interested I can hold it.

Well, my collection has grown alot over the summer. I have 11 riding mowers right now. Most will be going over the next couple weeks.

I don't have time for the projects I want to complete either. Hopefully after cleaning up the yard I can move on my xr200.

i know how it goes man, you come across something that is a hell of a deal with just a little bit of work. then before you finish or sometimes even start that work you get your hands on something else..

regaurdless i troll cl a few times a day for quads and dirtbikes and even street bikes so if i see those names pop up and they are looking for parts, i will reffer them to your name on this site..

I have to stay away from craigslist now. Actually I been selling stuff.

Need to make a trip to the scrapyard too. If only I didn't bring stuff home from there.

This is what I have left. If you see something make an offer.

Tires are Shinko and like new. Frame has a title.

The electrical parts?

Speedo cable, choke cable, wheels, pegs, etc.

Those wheels and tires are super nice. What type tires are they? I wonder if te forks and disk brake front wheel would fit on my XR?

Our Rangers are the exact same color.

katoranger
10-04-2010, 03:44 PM
I could measure the forks to see if they are the same diameter. The tires are Shinko dual sport tires, don't know the model off the top of my head.

Weldangrind
10-04-2010, 10:18 PM
Doc, you'd want to buy the triples with the forks to be sure that everything lines up. With that in mind, it's the steering stem length and diameter that matters. I have an '83 XR200R front end here, and I could compare it with Kato's stem measurement.

I don't want to get too far ahead of myself but it would be cool to have a front disk brake on the XR.

Someone already upgraded the rear wheel to an 18" so I'm good there.

I really like those tires. If I have the XR as my 'hard core' dirt bike I can use Q as a Dualsport and when I wear the knobbies out (doesn't take me long...) those dualsport tires look like just the ticket.

Weldangrind
10-05-2010, 01:02 AM
The disc brake upgrade would be well worth it, and there's something poetic about using a China front end and engine in a Honda.

The '83 stock rear is an 18"; when I said that the rear was a 17", I was referring to the 1984 model year.

Chiming in...
Tires are Shinko 705s and had less than 500 miles on them when I parked the bike.
Honest opinion: Very good on the street, decent on gravel. I wouldn't push them on tricky dirt or wet grass (they don't bite well.)

I will try and measure those stems today. Maybe we can make a package deal on some parts.

Bill, thanks for allowing your China bike to live on and give others the opportunity to use the parts. 8)

Okay.
http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e166/katoranger/utf-8BSU1HMDA0OTYuanBn.jpg

Stem measures about 8 1/4" and about 7/8" diameter.

Forks are about 32" long from top to axle mount. 1 1/4" diameter.

Those are the rough numbers. The stem length is about the same as my 87 xr200 too.

I will be driving to West Central Minnesota in December. If someone would like a titled frame and you live in the area between Atlanta, GA and MN I could bring it with and drop it off.

All I ask is for a gas donation. I have two frames with titles.

katoranger
01-06-2011, 02:25 PM
I would like to send these parts to new homes. Just send me a message and I will make a deal.

Trying to clean up and get ready for spring.

Jim
01-06-2011, 02:32 PM
What exactly is left? Just the 2 frames?

katoranger
01-06-2011, 03:31 PM
The frames. Rear wheel, forks, gas tank. Pretty much everything in the pics on page 2.

Weldangrind
01-06-2011, 08:27 PM
Is the rear wheel steel or aluminum?

katoranger
01-07-2011, 08:54 AM
Pretty sure its steel. I am going to get that xr engine to you soon. It is part of the clean up process.

I am going to be selling alot of my things that I don't have time for. That includes bikes and tractors.
