We got our lil' dinky a 4-wheeler. It got here last week, we put it together, rode it, and promptly killed the bearings on the front axle. Oops! Don't overtighten those...

We got it from Viva, same as my bike http://www.atvsimports.com/atv-110cc-automatic-with-remote.html

Unfortunately, they've had a color change for this model, so no pink camo!

Some assembly required, but not as much as the 200gy.

She was soooo excited! A little nervous at first, but her dad had adjusted the throttle. It was still fast enough for me to get some exercise, chasing her around the block, and explaining that she was NOT to go out of my sight. We'll see how long that lasts! :? The remote has a range of about 20 feet...needs to be about 200 feet. It's nice though, the bedtime whining ended early tonight with the threat of not being able to ride tomorrow  Well what fun is it if I can't be the evil stepmom sometimes???

What an amazingly lucky girl!

I can't even imagine what it would have been like to have had one of those as a kid. Way better than those powerwheels they sell at the toy store.

Sounds like you need to add an antena to the remote recever and boost the output :)

The remote is just like a car remote. Basically useless in this case.

She is lucky, but now the other kids in the neighborhood are upset that they just have bicycles. I kinda have mixed emotions that she's missing out on riding with them. Guess we'll see how things go when some of the novelty wears off. :? I'd love to take her up to my mom's farm to ride with my great-niece. They're about the same age & both have 4-wheelers. Wouldn't they have a blast!

Pauli,
Awsome!!!! I'm gonna go the same route with my twin daughters come B-day time, they are infatuated with my bike and want to ride on the back all the time, they have the bug... I think the remote is a great idea but will never replace good old fashion instruction and teaching to ride, I'm sure I don't have to tell you this, you have a head on your shoulders, unlike some idiot's out there (See Frostbites proposed Canadian Bill post)...I'm sure the rest of the parents in your neighborhood are 1. Not so open minded or 2. Don't have the cash.. Don't fret it, you rule!!!

i had a transformers big wheel with an electric squirtgun built into the handlebars. It was schweeeeet. My buddy at a ford dealership found an old powerwheel in the landfill and added 2 car batteries to run it at almost 32v or something like that... he said it was really quick till the motors fried... haha.

Hey Suave,
Did you have any trouble getting that registered in Maryland??? I would have rode right into the DMV and squirted everyone...HA,HA,HA!!!!!
Would have been cool if it transformed from a Big wheel to a China bike...

Pauli, that's awesome... You know the trick is you need to ride with her, you can easily keep up on your 200gy... :)

I think for now I'll stick with riding my bicycle with her. She hasn't quite got the throttle control down yet, and I need to practice on my bike, too. I'm afraid I'd either run into the back of her or she'd run into the back of me. 2 novices=1 big wreck!

The funny thing is that her top speed is about the same as mine when we don't have the throttle adjusted down. :?

The bad part is...now I want a 4-wheeler!

With a squirtgun!!!

How's it doing so far?
We just got quite a few of these in and I'm curious how they will be. I don't know if their Viva's or not but they look exactly the same.

No complaints, but between rain, swimming lessons (for her), shooting practice (for us), and trips to her mom's, she hasn't ridden it much. I'm hoping we can all head somewhere over Memorial Day weekend and put some miles on. 8)
