so i made an investment about 5 months ago into iraq.. as we all know in iraq they are forming a government, well as of last week or so they have the government set. just have to finalize everything.. then they have to set the money price on the new dinar's.. before 1990's un sanactions on iraq one diner was worth $3.40 american..

so i bought around 750k in dinars for under a thousand american cuz its dirt cheap.right now the exchange rate is one american dollar buys 1168 dinars. long story made short if they set the iraq dinar at 1 to 1 with american dollars i get 750k american, if they set it at one diner is worth 2 dollars american i make 1.5million..they wont pass up the exchange rate of the different countries surround iraq

been trying to decide what stang to get.. here is my options and colors want to know what every one thinks.. and yes it will be a stang

red 2011 v6 (has the new all aluminum 305hp v6
red or black 05-09 gt
red or black 2010 gt
red or black 2003-2004 mach 1

just wondering what other people think of the body styles and what not

if any one wants to check out the whole dinar thing, here is the website.. iraq has to set a exchange rate, you cant have a working government with out having money..

btw when you buy the dinars they send you the actual dinars..

Dude, if I had anywhere close to that amount of money, I sure wouldn't be buying a Mustang. No offence intended; as much as I live and breathe cars and bikes, I'd be buying commercial real estate.

So what happens if they set the rate at 1 dinar is $.10 American.

Not saying Mike's are phony or anything, but they claim it's one of the biggest scams going right now. As the old adage goes "If it seems too good to be true..."

I was thinking the same thing... Hopefully it works out for Mike.

It's too bad people like to rip other people off though.

I have some in my office drawer. Co-worker brought it back when he was there. Pretty much worthless at the time. Everything I have heard is to stay away too. But, you never know. Sometimes investments pan out.

He could have easily blown that in Vegas.

these are not the old dinars those are now worthless.. these are the new ones that have water marks, certain types of inks much like the american dollar..

my uncle has been following this for a year and has invested as has most of my family.. dinartrader is not a scam, they are completely legit, and there is even a thing from cnn on it..when i go to sell these i have to go in person and they check them for the security features. ya its risky but if you really think about it.. iraq has to have a form of money and they have to set a value at it, iraq is also the 3rd largest proven natural oil reserves in the world. already from following the news there are a group of international oil companies already trying to get contracts to drill in iraq for oil..

i dont gamble, i dont do investments but i figured 810 bucks back when i had a savings account was worth it to take the chance on it.

the the rules changed with the iraq bank and the laws about investing into iraq i think last year.. so either way this has to happen and even if i only make a few grand more then the 810 i invested then it was worth it. or i just hold onto the dinars untill iraq is up and running and has a big exchange rate from all the oil..

but like i said this has to happen for the country to be able to be a country and run it self. they have to have a exchange rate and value set for their money..

dinartrade when they send you the dinars send you paper work proving that your dinars are real brand new dinars.. like said above dinartrade is legit, check their site out for the cnn news interview it should be on the latest news page...

now, i know people would be buying different things. im not buying a 250k dollar sports car.. first off is buying this house, then the next day buy a new mustang and a truck and a new quad oh and a bike.. then im investing into a duplex and some land that in the next 10 years is going to be swallowed up by lago vista as business property that i could sell for 2 times what i paid for it and have a place to ride my quad and camp whenever i want untill i sell it..
if the return comes in for me at 1.5 million which would be 2% exchange rate. ive spoken to my bank and talked to their financial advisor. i can invest 1 million to the bank, i wont loose the money.. but the bank will use it to make money and i get a "paycheck" of 9 grand a month for as long as i let the bank have that million.. im not expecting that much money but i know they the odds of iraq setting the value of thier money at less then a dollar to dollar ratio with american money is unlikely odds are its going to be at. a value of 1 dinar = 2 bucks american, and it wont be more then the countries surrounding iraq.. look at the dollar to dollar value of the countries around iraq

Saudi Arabia $1 = 3.69 Riyal
United Arab Emirates $1 = 3.67 Dirham
Kuwait $1 = 0.267 KWD
Afghanistan $1 = 43.40AFN
Iraq $1 = 1168 Iraqi Dinars

now if you have 1 million dinars and the value of the dinar is raised by 1 cent you just made 10 grand for less then 1200 american on the investment..here is the return for a million dinar investment..

here are 2 things from the questions part of dinartrade.com

Q: Are you registered Department of Treasury?
A: We are registered with the Department of Treasury as a money service business since April of 2004 please click here to verify our registrations. All our Iraq dinars are imported legally with Fincen 105 filed with the U.S Customs.

Q: How do I know my Dinar is genuine?
A: The New Iraqi Dinar has been designed to be incredibly difficult to counterfeit. With security features including watermarks, color changing elements, metallic ink, a security thread and an imbedded ultraviolet image, the New Iraq Dinar has more security features than the new 20 dollar bill.

Potential Value increase of a 1 Million Iraqi Dinar holding
If the value of Iraqi Dinar increases to:

The resulting value of your 1,000,000 Dinar would be:
$0.01 ----$10,000
$0.10 ----$100,000
$0.20 ----$200,000
$0.50 ----$500,000
$1.00-----$1,000,000

Interesting concept. I hope it works out for you Mike.

If I had some extra cash, I might even consider it, but I think it's a bit risky. I don't much trust that country can pull itself out of fighting amongst itself for a long time, which will always keep currency values low.

If I had a windfall of 1.5 million and loved Mustangs, i would probbally get a few of them. a day to day change is nice.

I think the rea lestate investment idea is a good one. Dont forget to get a big place for yourself. Maybe someplace with a moat. I know someone with a bridge for sale cheap!

investing into low currancy values is risky, but like ive said iraq has to set a currancy value and there is already big oil deals that have been signed, the government is set but they are going over a few key things that people didnt see eye to eye on.. so even if it takes a few months longer, or a year longer.. at some point the dinars i bought will be worth something and my uncle who is deep into this and he never gambles either nor does investing has been following it long enough that he expects to be in cali by the end of the year cashing in his dinars with dinartrade.com..

kato you might have some money in the picture above, email dinartrade and ask them how much american that its worth..

and to the comment about more then one mustang, i cant do that. id have one that i love and i would drive it every time over the others. now if i can find a red 2010 2011 boss 302 mustang id be all over it like a fat kid on cake. but ive only been able to find the craptastic grapper blue boss 302

I did a quick currency calculator and it said about $230. Not sure if this is new or old currency though. I will just hang onto it.

i dont need a big place, im going to buy the house i live in now. then buy a duplex and some land.. down the road i might buy another duplex then sell those and buy a bigger house in some place like lakeway which is a upscale well to do area. then rent that place out, the house im in now.. i love the location, its not to big and its not to small. its got a huge back yard and a decent front yard, with a garage big enough for a mustang, truck and a new quad and a ninja 250r

its been right around that price the whole time ive been following it, my first buy into it was 810 american for 750,000.

if you read the latest news page, there are massive oil contracts being signed for haliburton, as well as a 93 trillion dinar budget set aside for economic growth iirc. the president guy has 30 to appoint all of the people to the their jobs, one of which being the minister of finance. that dude should set the value of the dinar accord to the area's around iraq. i am even considering buying some more and setting those aside for a few years to see what the oil stuff is going to bring the dinar up to.

well this got serious side tracked from getting a new mustang, so as an update.. decide to go with a 2011 5.0 gt 415hp...depending on how the above investment pans out will decide what options i get with it. like a glass roof, brembo brake package, 3.73 gears, leather, navi... in the end after building my mustang on fords website. i find that everything i want in a new gt brings the price to entry level shelby mustang price range. so i think why not go for a cobra..just gotta wait and see what the numbers are on iraq.

I hope it works out for you. I'm a vette fan but I really do like mustangs as well. However, my dreams are owning a semi again, but I'll have to wait about 10 years when my son gets older before I can go back on the road again. If I was a millionare, I would buy a semi truck. Probably a KW t-800 or Pete 379 non-extended hood (or whatever replaced the 379),
3.91 double locking rears, 13k fronts, 46k rears, 48-63" flattop. Keep the wheelbase under 250", 500hp or better, 18 speed. Black, Silver, Green, Blue, or Tan in color. A nice log picker trailer, a beavertail step deck, and a 53' dry van. I would haul forestry products on the weeks I don't have my son and probably volunteer at the National Park Services a few times a week doing tree work or anything else they need.

Sorry to get off the subject but your Mustang build has got my own dreams stirring. Take care.
