View Full Version : Top Gear
Anybody watch that show Top Gear? I've only seen one episode, there were in an asian country, though I don't recall which and they had to drive motorcycles...
Seems like a good show.
I just saw this clip on youtube, and wow... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ3KFfQsA9E

I usually stop down and watch the show when I run across it. They now have an American version of the show by the same name but I dont think it is as good.

I've seen clips online, but I don't give my TV much love these days.

My Brit in-laws try to shove it down my face everytime I see them. I don't give my tv much love either unless the Canucks (hockey team) or the Pittsburgh Steelers are on.
FWIW, I did watch one episode at my in-laws place a month or so ago, where they had to fabricate their own motorhomes. It was pretty stupid and funny, but not enough for me to run home and program the PVR.

I enjoy it. The US version tries, but I'm not old on it

I'll stick to the UK version. I feel like I know those guys.
Another UK car oriented TV show I really like is Wheeler Dealers. They buy modern classics that are used up, refurbish them and sell them usually for a slight profit. Sort of what I do with bikes, except sometimes I don't sell them 8) . Cars like Lancias, Cosworth Benzes, Z's, an old C4 Vette, 1G GTI's, 3 Series Beemers, 900 series Porsches. Many interesting and inexpensive cars.
If you guys see that show while flipping stations check it out.

I have seen more and more of the show "Mantracker" Looks like they tape it in B.C. area?
One thing I always wonder about is the camera person that films the prey. I bet without a film crew, the prey would win most times.

I watched the whole clip. I don't know what motivated them to do that but what an impressive old truck. I don't think my Ranger, bless it's heart, would have survived.

I think a diesel ranger would put up a good fight. That is the only reason it survived the sea.

Oh that Toyota was a diesel? That explains a lot.
I'd love a diesel Ranger. It would be fun to make biodiesel and chug smugly along.

Like a granola munching hippie?
Notice that when the wrecking ball hit the truck, water was still sloshing around in the headlight. Priceless.
I wanted that trailer.

LOL!
I missed the detail on the headlight.
The only thing I have in common with a hippie is we both like Kalifornia.
