One minute I'm surfing around Chinariders and other bike sites, the next minute I'm looking at souped up Geo Metro's? Not sure if it's the Kokanee or the snow, but I can't wait for spring!
Cheers,
Stew

I hate to say this Stew, but winter doesn't even begin until December 21, which is still 18 days distant!

Amen! I am posting ride reports, and reminiscing about nicer weather. ;) I fear we might be in store for a brutal winter. :( Have you seen my ride report from Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks? :?:

Winters are always long here, though we have had a week or so of unseasonably cold temps... I read all of your ride reports and love the pics, I have to say that your Zong looks right at home everywhere you photograph it... Your ride reports are a welcome respite from the cold and snow, please do keep them coming :D
Cheers,
Stew

Thank you, Stew. I took a two-day trip to Montana at the start of October; I will soon be posting a ride report on that trip. :)

Ah, boredom....
I had a '92 Metro. Drove it when I was doing home health visits. Got paid for mileage...that thing made me money...
50mpg highway and could get it into a 4 wheel drift on some of the curvy country roads round here...

We got our first snow today, hardly enough to cover the ground, i guess that is ok as i still need to get the parts so i can freshen up my snowmobile engine before the season begins.
See everyone just get yourself a sled and then you will look forward to winter as i do.

We had quite a bit of snow just in time for Son of Weldangrind's last HS football game, but there isn't a flake left now. :?
Gonna go find me some snow tomorrow. :)

My son is dying to get up to Hemlock. He's been renting so far, but it might be time to hit up CL for a board.
Yeah I'm not an expert on the equipment, but I bought some stuff at sport mart. It seems to do the trick, I spent less then $500 for the boots/board/& bindings (I don't recall how much but I think it was significantly less). Renting adds up, but is good for the first while... I rented at the start of last year. I got a seasons pass for Hemlock this year, so now I can go as much as I want and all it costs me is the additional fuel to get there :)

I'm not very good at it, but I have fun :)

Having fun is what counts! I worked at the Long Lake Ski Hill for 3 winters way way back and loved skiing every day. Had an hour for lunch so I used to sneak out for a couple of runs... I took snowboarding lessons about 10 or so years ago, had a blast but I have never fallen down so many times in my entire life! Lol, my then wife actually traded her snowboard in on ski's after the lessons. I really enjoyed it but I have bad left ankle that restricts my sporting activities these days.

At least your board is facing the right way. Mine would always find itself above my head.
Oh it was there too :P It's much softer doing that in the powder then on the groomed (icy hard) runs though :)

We usually had short icy slopes in Southern Minnesota.

Remarkable how much snow is at Hemlock, when there isn't a flake anywhere around Abbotsford.

That's too bad about your ankle... I on the other hand have lots of experience falling down... Apparently I used to get down stairs very quickly when I was younger, and also out of the bunk bed (while asleep), among other things... Thankfully I'm a little more coordinated now, most of the time anyways.
W&G yeah there is a fair bit up there, probably as much as we saw most of last year...

Wooooo, it's snowing good here now, got about 8" on the ground and another 10" is expected, gotta love those Great Lakes, they really help us get dumped on when the conditions are right, i'll be going to the shop tomorrow to get the sled out. A quick vid of my backyard today.
