God bless you. You're a fine American and thank you for your service. I'm also self employed. Our small businesses are the building blocks this country's economy are built on. Keep up the good work. 8)

Enjoy your Q. Imagine how much MORE fun it will be with gas in it out on the road! :P

ok Guys thought I would post a few Teaser Pics for ya. My Goall is to try and put the system on this Sunday as long as time allows. In the Meantime here are a few pics. The System I bought on Ebay for a Suzuki DR-Z125 The system came complete with a Sticker, Instructions, and some AntiSeeze. It is SUPER Light - maybe 4lbs in all. I paid $200 for the complete system which included shipping from I think Minisota. Enjo and stay tuned for the Actual Install.

Looks good Andrew, there's a few of us waiting to see how it goes to replace the rusty old heavy things our bikes came with. Well me anyway and some Adrenaline 125 owners back in UK have been asking about mufflers.

A comment, the one in the first picture is a fair bit longer and would be the one I would want. A shorty muffler like you actually got would burn any passenger's leg and/or luggage which is fine if you are just going one-up and local.

Did you choose the short one or was the pic wrong?
And as it is off a DR125, won't it restrict the 200cc a bit?

The TOP Picture above was representation only sorry. I do NOT see any restriction issues with this Can as it is WIDE Open compared to the Factory Stock Exhuast Can. As far as it being shorter Yeah alittle but should NOT Cause any issues with burning passengers ect, becuase it won't stick out anymore then the original factory exhaust can does. I'll be sure and get you as many detail pics and more as I can on Sunday just bare with me and be patient. I'm not sure about you bike, on just how much it actually is like my Qlink XF200 But "LOOKS" Quite similar. Check back here soon for the actuall install Pictures etc....on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks

It's good you're changing the header to get rid of the catalyst. :D

Great! Thanks. Mine is 38mm pipe, which is the same as yours I think, but it can always be changed, and the can itself is 550mm in length. I have found that the hot gases from the back end do melt nylon luggage and also the pipe melts the soles on passenger shoes, that may have been avoided though with a slightly different position ... that's why a shorty wouldn't do me!

I notice you don't have a luggage rack and also that the can has a downward pointing tip to it so this wouldn't apply to you.

Could you please add a link to the store online? Probably freight will be too much but you never know.

It's good you're changing the header to get rid of the catalyst. :D

The Qlinks/Qingqi/Konkers don't have cats in the header, Doc. They just have that paper/aluminum looking honeycombed stuff in the pipe. New ones don't have the air injection in the pipe either so it's easier to just add the pipe without messing with the eviro stuff.

FastDoc

That honeycomb stuff is the cat I believe. The air injection is a joke. I'm glad they left that off. My guess is that it was only necessary for the Kalifornia versions.

Yeah - My header pipe doesn't have any of that. The NEW Pro Circuit T4 Pipe i'm sure will be loud - As you can look straight thru it. There is a Light Screen on the inside. (But you can see right thru it) - Should be putting her on Sunday - If time allows that is! LOL :D

FastDoc

If it's TOO loud you can probably switch the tip to a Q4.

JTCAndrew
02-11-2011, 07:22 PM
I'll have to look that up Doc - Got any referance links for me - My tip definately could be swapped out I guess. The end comes off with Allen wrenches so you can repack her anytime. - Off to search more on the Q4 Tip.......Thanks.....Andrew :D

I think so. I know that there is a model, IIRC, called the Q4 that people use when riding in organized dualsport rides because the other style won't meet the noise requirement.

SpudRider

The Q4 is an entirely different muffler, manufactured by FMF Racing. ;)
