I really, really would like to purchase one of these bikes if I could find one with the right price. Not to mention, find one at all. I haven never actually seen one for sale.

Anybody know anything about this model and/or company? What type of copy is this engine? Their dual sport 400 isn't bad looking either...

I think that Xingyue are stuck between a rock and a hard place with their 400cc bikes. They are DOT/EPA legal here but all the people who used to offer them wanted above used Japanese bike prices for them ($4000+). Xingyue will sell you a 'sample' if you can handle the paperwork to bring one in.

The closest Xingyue is what Pitster Pro offers but it is an enduro not the adventure-style bike that you are after. If you can compromise, then go with the Pitster.

Nice LOOKING Bike, but with that price, and the reviews of unreliability and engine problems, I wouldn't touch one with a ten foot pole......Yikes!

The Pitster Pro, LXT 400 was being sold for $2,000, delivered. However, I currently don't see the LXT 400 listed on the Pitster Pro website.

Importing the XY400-GY2 into the United States would require a lot of work, and some additional expense. :?

Here it is in Canada now.

I asked a dealer about this bike last summer and they where going to look into it. Seems they have the ability to sell them now. I asked for a quote (online form), I assume they will be out to lunch with the price. Will post as I get it.

holy crap they actually violate each others brand names? Pioneer has nothing to do with those.....

http://www.xfmotor.com.cn/en/

Stay away Brian those models are garbage and have no support, they have resorted to outright lies to sell them in assuming others brand names.

I would avoid the Chinese all of 2011 let them do what they think they can do and then pick up the sales in 2012! I Would also wait for discounts on Japanese models they imported many bikes that will sit as nobody is buying.

These a**holes think that flooding the market works since they did it with other products before....but motorcycles are not like that.

People will be snatching up the surplus bikes now. Spring and higher gas prices will be good motivators to get a bike/scooter.

Spud,
Looks like Pitster dumped the LXT 400 after the fire sale. Too bad but I guess they couldn't handle the manufacturer.

Indeed, it appears Pitster might have stopped selling the LXT 400. However, the LXT 400 has disappeared from the Pitster website before, only to reappear at a later date. ;)

It's good to hear from you again Oengus. Thank you for the warning.

Also, I spoke to a representative from Pitster Pro. They said they should have another shipment of LXT400's in 4-6 weeks. We will wait and see if they actually do get them in or not.

I was told to call back and speak to Gary regarding if the sale price will still be available for $2000 delivered. A quick Google search revealed that Gary may be the owner of Pitster Pro. Must be a small staff.

Yeah, GaryG is the owner and a nice guy. He helped me out with my Pitster Pro Classic 125 when I screwed up the MSO and also replaced the orginal tank when it had a design problem.

I talked with Gary when I visited Pitster Pro, and test rode the LXT 400 last fall. Gary was very candid, and he spent a lot of time talking with me. :)
