Unless I'm mistaken that there is a Lifan 200cc engine:

In the linked discussion thread rhe owner refers to it as a OHC motor, but I'm pretty sure it isn't.

Looks like a china pushrod to me.

The bike looks like a Honda, mid 70's.

I like it! Not the exhaust though, looks like an afterthought.

Twinstar or something?

I don't like the pipe on it, and I'd paint the tank. I do like cafe racers in general, but a lot of them not as much. This one has potential. I think it needs cleaning up over the rear tire under the seat, and loose the stock air box for some sort of pod filter.

Edit:
Missed the hybrid comment in the title, I thought it looked like an electric motor on there.

Looks like a pretty big battery as well.

I agree that it's a pushrod China motor. I'd swap the drag bars for clip-ons and change the seat to a solo with a cowl. I'd also rework that exhaust.

Otherwise, it has great potential as a hybrid! Ok, that was a bad joke.

I didn't read the whole topic (the linked topic), but it would be interesting to see the workings that make it hybrid... How does it provide a benefit? I guess I should probably go read the link.

There is some fairly neat stuff here:

http://omarsdtr.com/

(as into conversion to a clubman style of racer) I have had no dealings with these folks, the stuff appears to be mostly handmade, and carries the appropriate price.

As to the "hybrid", I don't know (and really don't care), no one has offered a "workable" alternative to fossil fuel, that I have seen. When they do I will be 100% behind it.

Hey Reveen, small world but apparently the bike/owner are in Saint John. I would love to see it in person.

I got a kick out of how they got spammed at the end of the post.
