Had a couple of posts disappear here, would I be notified if there was a moderation reason for it?

Also, PM says 3 yet only 1 showing.

I know all forums have problems from time to time, just wonder if anyone knows why?

I can't speak for the possible deletions but some members, myself included, have had some issues with the PM system about 3-4 weeks ago.

I really dislike this - posts going missing and PMs missing.

I have no idea who tried to contact me, hopefully they will read this and try again.

As for the posts missing, I hope a moderator will tell me why.

I can't imagine why. Moderators are encouraged to have direct discussions with members about any issues. It's not likely that anyone deleted your posts intentionally.

Thanks mate. I assume then that it is just a glitch of some kind.

I moderate over on MCM and we do sometimes, including recently, have such things happen but more than once is quite unusual. Forum software upgrades, anti-spam software and forum backups and server maintenance seem to cause problems. We do get China specific problems like filtering and slowness which can cause drop outs and time-outs for some members in-country.!

We also have the unwritten rule that moderation is open and publicly seen and explained where appropriate, else taken to PM.

Hence with the missing PM's as well as posts I wondered what was happening!

Is there a button somewhere to call up a list of your own posts?

I haven't heard of any posts going missing yet; hope this isn't something that'll plague us.

One way I know of is to click on Profile in any of your posts, then click Find All Posts by Jape. That'll get you in the ballpark.
