I just bought my first Dual sport bike. I bought a 2009 Qlink XP200 with like 800 miles on it. Is this a good bike? Will i run in to any problems? What are some things that are good to do to these? Any good parts to get for it to make it run a little better and maybe last longer? Any more info would be great.
Thanks,
Little Beach

Welcome! You have come to the right place. There are many Q owners. Search past threads on Q's here and you'll have days of reading material.
You have bought arguably the best Chinabike, and technically and quality-wise the equal of the identical Suzuki DR200SE. They are both made by the same factory.

Suzuki does not sell anything in the USA that is manufactured in mainland china. The DR200SE is made in Japan, VIN begins with "J" Japan.
Here is list of all the products Suzuki imports to the USA, the models that begin with “L†in their VIN are small dirt bikes and ATV are made in a Suzuki plant in Taiwan.

You can see a difference in the DR200 and the XP/XF200 frame welds and over all fit and finish are all neat and clean. The Qlink uses the engine design and shares some design elements but they are definitely not coming off the same assembly line and certainly not coming out of china.

I don't quite understand the question but you may be refering to the 'Flash To Pass' switch.
A bitter irony I don't think I ever passed anyone on a Q! :P

On the left hand side there it a plug like under the rear of the seat by where that handle mounts..... I just wanted to know what it was for.

If your lights and blinkers are all working I have no idea. I'd tape it up and ignore it.

Could you post a picture of the plug? It could be for one of the back lights or perhaps it's a plug for a battery tender? It's also possible that the previous owner installed an accessory plug on the bike for a heated vest or something as well. A picture would make it easy to identify.

Looks like a plug for a battery tender.

Yep. Follow the wire, and it will likely connect to the battery. Take the time to confirm that it was hooked up correctly, since you didn't do it (red to +).

Yep.
Use it for your battery tender and/or electric gloves or vest. I would check the polarity though. The male part is supposed to be negative.

That's better thought out than my comment. Ignore the colours; just make sure the male plug is negative, like the wise Doc pointed out.

If you follow that Plug wire I bet it goes directly to your battery. It looks just like the one I installed for my Battery tender. You can get a bettery tender at walmart for $30 that has this connection so you can charge your battery simply by plugging it in - Like a Laptop! Follow the wire!

It's up in the little hole right next to the main. Takes a little flat blade screwdriver to fir up in there.

I'm in the habit of taking the jet out and handing it to the guy at the local bike shop. I'm sure to get the right one that way, and they usually only cost about $5 OTC.
