Note that the guy with the long hair is Joe, my partner. Note also we only hire attractive women. A strict rule around here. 8)

Very Nice Doc - I have one coming up myself - I'll post it soon.....Andrew
I like it - Great Job! Did I tell you I worked in Helthcare for 8 Years....I worked for a group of Phycians....Multi-Specialty Group. I put them all on EMR Prior to my departure. I maintained 375 PC's for the Practice 12 locations in NW PA. We used Mysys Heathcare practice management software. We had our own LAB Too.....Here is there Website:
http://www.ips-mso.com
I even wrote up all the Policies for HIPAA when that all came about. I liked the Healthcare field very much. In Fact some of my current clients are doctors offices, attorneys, and even some orthopedic groups.....
Nice Commecial - Great Job.....

What a HUGE project! I bet you were happy to see that one completed.
How did the doctors take it? Was it a switch from paper or from another EMR? I confess I am not taking it so well. We switched from dictation/paper to Athena 1/3/2011 and my work quality of life has never been the same. It slows me down and cramps the 'art of medicine' style that I value so much in my work. It's like dragging a boat anchor everywhere I go, and I don't like Obama's people checking up on my practice electronically. To sum it up, I hate the EMR.
It's like when Caddilac stopped making big cars in 1977. Life went on but it will never be as sweet again.

Some Embraced it - and Other Fought it - Needless to say those who fought it lost. It was a huge transition that took approx 3 yrs before the Physicians were comfortable - And I'll bet money there are some who are still struggling. I can understand the frustration not many invite "Change" but you either roll with the times or get left behind.
Our Lab even had ther our Server. The Software they used was from Orchard Soft. The Misys System had 3 Servers alone. The entire practice (Building) was wireless with access Points everywhere. From my stand Point it was a Nightmare of Security risk, not to mention all the HIPAA Stipulations that go along with it.
Even with all that said. I Still loved Healthcare "IT" it was challanging like no other. I Like challenges- Just like The CB's give me! LOL I can see how it made other frustrated but I also saw how it made things easier too...
Congrats on the NEW Commercial I'll post mine soon....

Thanks guys. :D
We had a print ad with me on my Gold Wing. 8)
Andrew I am pretty good with the EMR, and I see it does have a few small plusses, but overall it has severely hurt my professional quality of life. If I was close to retirement I would have cashed out rather than adopt it.
I can't imagine how hard it was to impliment from your perspective, and the difficulty of making it secure also scares me. You really know your business!

Doc - I forgot you asked above - The EMR was a conversion from both an exsisting Business System (Misys) and Paper. We scan Thousand and Thousand of Charts into the system to convert them over. I think we had around 150+ Thousand Charts. We had not one not two but 3 HUGE Scanners to scan the paper charts into the system. We hired several people just to do that. (TEMPS)
Our entire network was based upon a VPN - 12 lOCATIONS - all based over NW PA. Being only one person in charge of all the IT for the corporation - I had also developed a Internal Help Desk system for the Docs and Users. They would record and log calls thru the system to me which helped keeping me prioritized with system issues and bugs. Its hard to be at 12 places at once! LOL
Today the Company Employs 5 or 6 people in the IT Department to replace me when I left......I went to work for a Group in Erie Called Consultants in Cardiology. Needless to say AFTER putting one group onto EMR - I found myself doing it all over again. Did I mention I like a challengeS AND Chinese Bikes? LOL

Compared to that a CB is a pretty easy challenge :D . You must love having your own small business out in the country. God is good.
We are a small operation, but I am self employed and independant. I have 3 'partners', but only in as much as we shar office expenses and help one another (and our patients) out but we are financially and professionaly independant.
That's the only way of life for me. I answer only to God. No Earthly boss. 8)

Hahahaha Yeah I hear ya Doc - But the China bike still gives me challenges trust me. We to are Self Employed (My girlfriend- Future wife to be) own the Company. We have one full Time employee who is pretty dedicated to our company. She too like to keep things on the downsize, but I'm afraid if we keep growing at this rate, I'm going to have to hire more people. Our Sons also help Part time sometimes when they are not working thier regular jobs. I guess you might call that a family affair.....Your Slogan is very similar to our SMALL Town - BIG Solutions.
I to only answer to God and Well my wife to be......Hahahahahaha.
She was a FULL TIME Real Estate agent for Coldwell Banker - In Fact thats how we met - She Sold me a House! Funnny Huh? I believe we were meant to be.....

You're blessed. I have two bosses, but one of them is pretty, and she smells nice. :D
I tell my boss at work that I don't work for him, but for our customers. He doesn't like that much.

No, not produced, just got the deal put together  . The commercial was sent directly to the head guy at the channel, so I have never seen it. The movies are uncut, and between movies, we broadcast a bulletin board (powerpoints), and you are far more likely to see CCW's powerpoints than commercials :? No link other than to the channel itself:
http://pages.tvunetworks.com/watchTV/index.html#c=91241 or to the site:
www.horrorhaven.com (we have a link to CCW there as well)
Either way, you have to download the TVU player (painless, harmless), but you get more features (such as full-screen and TV guide) from TVU than from the embedded channel on horrorhaven.
