I searched for a while and still can't find the answer and not sure where my manual is.
Anyway whats the proper way to check the engine oil? running or not running? Bike being held up level? Mine has a slight drip so I wanna be sure I check it properly. Thanks in advance, Alan

Alan,
I'm not familiar with your bike but I know the engine should not be running and the bike should be upright and level.
If the engine has been running you should wait a few minutes before you check it. Some of my bikes have a dip stick that should be removed, wiped off, bike level. and not screwed in to check the oil level.
Some of my bikes have a sight glass where the bike should also be level and the oil should be between the upper and lower mark.

I'm glad you found the correct procedure, Allen. :) I usually check the oil level on my Zong before I ride, when the engine is cold. ;) With the bike on the kick stand, I kneel down on the right side of the bike, near the oil sight glass. Then I pull the bike vertical with my left hand, and balance the bike upright while I check the oil level.
I also check the oil level occasionally during long rides. ;) However, after turning off the ignition, you need to wait several minutes for the oil to drain down into the crankcase before you check the oil level. ;)
Spud :)
