Looks familiar.

It makes me realize how blessed I was. It looks like he was doing about 25. I was going 65 8O . I was not hit as hard though, just enough to knock me off. Plus I did not have to worry about getting run over by traffic.

Another difference is he was skidding before she hit him. He was making a panic stop due to something happening in front of him.

Given the choice of riding or getting married (again) though I pick riding. ESPECIALLY if my wife to be wanted to control my life. I'd rather get run over again than live in a bad marriage.

Whoa. 8O

It looks like there was plenty of room in front of him, yet he was making tire smoke. Too bad the moron behind him wasn't paying closer attention. Glad he survived.

Yesterday I was stuck on I287 in NJ for an hour. There was a crash about 1/4 mile in front of me. I watched a helicopter land and take off again. When traffic finally started moving and we got to the scene, there were two cars and a motorcycle involved. Interstate motorcycle crashes are never good, but luckily it sounds like this guy survived.

Son of Weldangrind was familiar with that video, and he thinks that the person who hit the bike put a cell phone away as she got out.

The teenager that rear-ended FastDoc was talking on the cell phone, wasn't she?

Whenever you brake, you should be checking your mirrors. ;) You should also watch your mirrors while waiting at stop lights. Keep the bike in gear at the stop light, and be prepared to get out of the way if traffic behind you fails to stop fast enough! 8O

Also, depth perception is compromised at night. Therefore, flash you brake light while waiting at the stop light to help approaching motorists judge your location. ;)
