I'm going to buy my first scoot. It's between a new 2009 CF Moto E-Charm FI or a new BMS Pathfinder. Which do you think is the best choice? I hear good things about both. I hear the echarm is a little better with the fuel injection and liquid cooled engine. I heard the BMS can be a little better if you change to the 10g roller (I think?). Do you recommend fuel injection over a carb scoot? An experienced scoot salesman told me that if the FI breaks down it will be more of a headache, on the other hand the carb model will be tough to start on cold days. The price diff between the two is about $500 (echarm is more). Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Also, can anyone recommend a decent online dealer?

From where I sit it looks like 12HP vs 8HP.
It is only a matter of time until everything you and I can buy new has fuel injection.
Like the big wheels, though I am used to small wheels, almost doesn't seem like a scooter.

I didn't even pay attention to the hp difference. Good point. From what I hear the EFI is pretty reliable.

Actually, it's 10.8 hp vs 8hp (bms)

I would not be afraid of the CFMoto offering. As always "the rules" for all China bikes would apply, change fluids to "known good", check all fasteners, and grease all electrical connections.
It is tough for me personally to recommend a Chinese scooter at this price point when I see used 250 Elites for under $800 in nice shape.
But to each his/her own.

I have heard positive things on the cfmoto products, but not aware of the BMS company.

Here is a review of the BMS 150 (ITA 150) and the CF Moto Echarm:

I am fairly sure that the Pathfinder sold by BMS is manufactured by Xingue, may have spelled that wrong. They offer a 200cc version of it, I like the bigger wheels myself, I also like the higher seat height.
BMS when asked “where can I buy one†will always send you to County Imports.
I like the copy they offer of the C70 the Honda CUB. it’s a 110cc with a 4 speed auto clutch. It has bigger wheels and a higher seat height.
BMS has a very good web site.

I think I would consider the Benelli Pepi its a 2-stroke.

It has the 16 inch wheels and a nice look to it.
