Hi everyone, I'm a Canadian owner looking for offroad tires for my Konker KSM200, bike has run great so far have about 1000KM on it.

Konker seems to be out of business so can't order the offroad tire kit they used to offer. XP200 Qinqli tires look like they will work, but the dealer won't ship to Canada.

Does anyone know a good dealer/distributor I could order 21 and 18 offroad tires, or can I get aftermarket rims tires?

thx, Grant

Welcome Grant!

You're free to buy any brand of tire you wish; the tires on your bike are not Konker-specific. Which Province are you in? One of my favourite mail order shops in Canada is www.gnarly parts.ca , but if you're in the Lower Mainland BC area, you can buy from their shop.

I think he's looking for the 18 and 21 inch rims, the KSM200 comes stock with 17 inch rims and street tires. I know my KLR uses a 17 inch rear, but it would be way too wide for the KSM... You could get aftermarket rims laced to your hubs but that would be pricey and you wouldnt be able to go back to the supermoto look.

There's a lot of dirt tires you can put on your 17" wheels, but there again you're losing the ease of swapping unless you get a set of spare wheels.

Does anyone know what the axle diameters are on this bike?

Actually that reminds me of a picture I saw on the Konker website once, it was for a contest I was entered in. A woman had a Konker supermoto with aggresive knobs mounted on the 17 inch rims, not sure how it handled but it looked like it would be able to climb straight up a wall!

I was thinking 21/18 inch rims would be the way to go, but I have seen some posts of some pretty aggressive looking tires on the 17s, that might be easier.

I have to change the fork seal too it looks like, seems to be leaking i noticed when I changed the oil, thanks for the info

I have a set of GY200 21" front and 18" rear with lightly used tires, and I'm looking for a set of 17s front and rear. PM me.

Your GY200 wheels won't fit the Konker bike; neither will the QLink wheels fit your bike, Rusche. :(

You could always order your wheels from Qlink. There are issues with them not being able to ship to Canada but there are ways to get around that. I got a front fork from Qlink, it took a bit of doing but I had the part in 3 weeks.

Blast, quick hi-jack, how to get 17 F&R on my bike? Maybe XR200 or anything fit?
Or even 18 front, would be cheaper and be closer to what I want.

Please don't hijack the thread, Rusche. ;) Granter is looking for answers to his question regarding offroad tires for his Konker/QLink motorcycle. :) It is better for both Granter and you if you start a new thread for your question regarding your Lifan wheels. ;)

Boy....17 inch dirt tires aren't as readily available, as I've found nosing around for you. I did find these though and I've had stellar luck with this company. They're even a matching set! :D Price not to bad. Free shipping! :D ...that is if you decide to stay with your current rims.

Cool looking Kenda's, unfortunately there's never free shipping to Canada. Matter of fact, most (maybe all?) US companies wont even ship tires to Canada... Lol, I know because I tried like crazy to get a set of Duro's for my KLR, even to the point of getting a hold of Duro themselves!

Best place I have had for mail ordering tires in Canada is aviciouscycle.com in Ontario... Great guys and fast shipping. Bad part is the tires cost like twice what they do in the States... Bummer!

Thanks for sourcing those 17s 2LZ, I'll check them out, not a bad option maybe. I also emailed about the set yvrGY200 has for sale

I took the bike riding in Mclean Creek yesterday and the onroad tires are pretty sketchy in mud and on rocks, I imagine knobbies would be a big improvement!

Oh yeah, the knobbies are a huge improvement off road :). I was even riding my Konker in the snow in February with the off road wheels, didn't go too bad. When I sold the bike to my brother in law I had the street tires on it (I liked it better with the supermoto tires as I was on the street mostly), and his one stipulation with the sale was that I had to put the enduro tires on

Do you have the supermoto bike with 17-inch wheels, or the dual sport bike with 18-inch, and 21-inch wheels?

Have you tried Royal Distributing. They have lots of parts and tires that fit the chinamotos. Very good prices.

I have the 17s now, just the street or supermoto tires.

I ordered a 21/18 inch offroad setup, the original one that was an option for the Konker bikes.

What will this do to the onroad capabilities? Will my top end speed go down and do you think handling will be an issue on ashphalt? Speedo I imagine will be out of whack also after this swap

Your off road capabilities will greatly increase with the 18"/21" wheels, Granter. :) The 21-inch front wheel will climb over rocks, and traverse ruts much better than a smaller front wheel. ;) In addition, the 18"/21" wheels will afford you a much better selection of off road tires with aggressive tread patterns. :)

Check the accuracy of the speedometer with your current, 17-inch, front wheel. If the speedometer is currently "optimistic," the 21-inch, front wheel will make the speedometer more accurate. :) If you speedometer is currently accurate, the larger front wheel will make your speedometer "pessimistic." ;)

I had the exact same bike with the off road tire kit as well, the speedo was out quite a bit with the supermoto tires, but was a little closer with the enduro tires on. Handling on the street was fine with the enduro tires though I took the corners a little gentler. My big question is where did you find the enduro kit to order?

I ended up purchasing the wheels from a gentleman on this forum, I don't know if you can still buy them anywhere, I tried a few shops but noone seemed to have any in stock and it seems Konker is out of business now

Ahh, cool :) I was wondering where the heck you would find a set. They are much better off road than the street tires and they are fine on road as well. I preferred the street tires when I was just on the pavement though. You probably know this already, but be careful to line up the tangs for the speedo correctly when you install the speedo drive on the dirt wheels. I think I destroyed my speedo drive the first time I put the dirt wheels on... A replacement was like $60 not counting shipping from Konker when they were still in business.

I just realized I didn't answer the question you asked, Granter! The 21-inch, front wheel will turn quicker on the street than the 17-inch, front wheel. Because of the quicker steering, you might notice the bike is affected more by strong winds. ;)

If you choose off road tires with a very aggressive tread pattern, the ride will be a little more bumpy than before. Also, the rear wheel is more prone to lock up with hard braking if you have a very aggressive tread on the rear tire.

The 18-inch rear tire will have a larger diameter than the 17-inch rear tire; therefore, your gearing will get higher. With higher gearing you bike will run at lower RPMs for any given speed, and you top speed might increase a little. However, if the gearing gets too high, and the engine lugs, you might need to reduce the size of your countershaft sprocket, or increase the size of your rear sprocket to lower the gearing. ;)
