Received new GY200 from motobuys...Not real fun, NO assembly manual and they say factory does not have either. I have struggled through and to the point of hooking wires prior to putting on front wheel.

In the picture below, I have 2 female green ends to connect. One has a partner green with red stripe running beside it in the cable but its connector point is solid green and it is a joint connector. The other is a stand alone green female end wire.

I have 1 male from the headlight, and one from the ignition (its partner is a black with white stripe). Any idea which green male goes into which green female?

Also, I read that the factory oil must be changed? What do I put in to replace it? I have rotella 15w40. Manual says 15w 40 QE.

thanks

Hi larrybr45

First thing, none of the bikes that are sold On-Line come with a factory assembly manual. Some places that sold them gave a very basic manual but not in detail.

Only Dealers received a Distributor Assembly Manual... meaning the main distributor such as United Motors, A. Lifan, CrossRunner, Redcat, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki etc. made their own assembly, prep, pdi manuals. These manuals are all protected under USA copyright.

Welcome!

Rotella 15W40 will be fine.

Your pics didn't show up; you need to host them at a third party site, like http://photobucket.com . The solid green wire usually means ground, but I'm not sure about the other. A little testing will answer the question.

If you don't have a volt meter and a test light, you need to buy those items (both cheap at Harbor Freight in the US or Princess Auto in Canada). If the bike will run as-is, turn the key on and check the green / red wire for power using a frame bolt for ground. Let us know if the bike will start with those wires disconnected,

Welcome to these forums; we are glad you joined us, Larry! :) The Rotella, 15W-40 motor oil is excellent; go ahead and use it. ;)

Welcome to the forums.

I've assembled a number of Chinabikes and IIRC the green is a common ground for the front directional signals and they get plugged in together to a spade female terminal. The other two wires are the positives for the front blinkers. If you plug them in backwards the blinkers will be crossed. If that happens simpley switch them and you're good to go.
