Lolo Pass. This was BEFORE I got nailed for speeding. Twice. Never mind...

For those of you who have never had the chance to visit or vacation in the American Northwest plan a trip NOW. This place is amazingly beautiful. It's a privlege to live here.

I was thinking the same thing, but I didn't want to "rub salt in the wound," 2LZ. :lol: Do you think Idaho law enforcement was possibly irked by Doc's license plate? :roll:

Ticket #1:

Going up hill in Lolo Pass, Highway 12. Pulled out to pass a minivan who was going under the speed limit. Got nailed for being about 20 MPH over the speed limit when I pulled back into my lane. The $#@% thing is 10 miles before that, in MT, the limit WAS 20 MPH faster.

Ticket #2:

Pulling into Lewiston the speed limit drops abruptly from 65 to 45. I missed the sign and got nailed for, you guessed it, 65 in a 45.

Both cases were my fault. I was speeding. I don't blame anyone else. Sucks though.

Neither case was unsafe or reckless, but illegal nonetheless.

Love the winding road sign! A fellow on a KLR forum I'm on bought himself a nice BMW Adventure and took a pic by that very sign. Vette looks great! :)
