Hey all,
I am here to meet other Zongshen Sierra 200 owners. Lately I have been looking for aftermarket parts like sprockets, my usual dealer is out of stock and has been for awhile. The chain on my bike is in flop around mode, which you know is dangerous, so I need to get the sprocket and chain changed out soon. Also, does anyone know if it is necessary to change the front sprocket while I am chaing out the back? Let me know if you have the info. Thanks in advance!
Regards,
Patrick

Welcome, Patrick. You found the right place; we are glad to have you join us! You can find a lot of Zongshen sprocket information in the following threads.
The countershaft sprocket usually wears faster than the rear sprocket, especially with the Zongshen 200GY-2 motorcycle. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to replace the countershaft sprocket. As noted in the above threads, I encourage you to experiment with a smaller, countershaft sprocket.
Since you need to remove the entire left crankcase cover to replace your countershaft sprocket, I also encourage you to perform the left crankcase cover modification on your Zong.
Finally, I encourage you to head on over to the Dual Sport forum! You will meet a lot of nice people, and learn a lot of good information over there. When you are over there, check out the Zong “Stickie.”

Welcome bluefox!
It's fair to say that Spud is enthusiastic about Sierras! _________________ Weldangrind

Excellent machine, by ANY standard. Welcome. By the time Spud gets through talking to you the only part that will be stock will be the ignition key. _________________ 2007 Gold Wing, 2009 QLink XP-200, 1978 GS 750. 1981 Yamaha XS400, 2006 Kawasaki Bayou 250, 1996 Corvette LT-4 Roadster, 1992 Ford Ranger 4X4, 2002 Maule Comet (Airplane)
