the plants may be intact but what of the raw materials, i doubt they come from the same cities.

Maybe china just figures they've sucked all the money out of us they can and have moved on to other countries.
I think the whole AL thing along with the quake has slowed things down a bit. I really dont care about the china bikes anymore until the bigger ones hit the shores here but even then the price had better be decent or I wont even consider one.(like a 350-400cc under $2600) I hope they hit hard with new bikes and such next spring, you know after the olympics and they get a chance to rebuild after the quake. it is interesting to watch just what is going on with the bikes from china. |
Something tells me that the chinese haven't given up on this market. I think they're figuring out how to own the market. Funnelling the market and consolidating the revenue streams. I think instead of grabbing a piece of the pie, they want revenue from every aspect of the industry, not just the manufacture. It's not in their intrest to directly copy a honda for less. They want differences, so you buy their parts, which they will make and supply. They'll be back, and next time with force. If it costs billions to start it off and under cut everyone, the government will pay it. The dividens will be huge in the 3rd year. JMHO
