Truer words have never been spoken about Filipino drivers. Filipinos are some of the friendliest , most hospitable people you will ever meet. They're genuinely nice people with a positive outlook on life despite the hardships they face. They walk around smiling all day and will help you at a moments notice.
They also have a split personality (Jekyll / Hyde) when it comes to driving a car or scooter/motorcycle. They are poorly trained to begin with (cars) and no training (Motorcycles)...from there it goes to the absurd. They pass you on the right, they cut you off. They'll stop in the middle of the street for no apparent reason. It's beyond comprehension for a North American. To really appreciate the level of chaos go to youtube and watch some videos.
Despite the their driving habits, the Filipinos are exceptional people.
I worked here in the late 1990's on the electrical grid......attempting to stabilize it thru the marvels of programming......LOL.......That's why I came back. I met many great Filipinos and found my wife here.
