Great point! The msrp is not necessarily the price you pay for a bike. While the SSR has a much higher MSRP than its competitors, the real cost of the XF250 is about the same as a TT250. For example: I got my XF 250 from a dealer for $2,700 out the door. This included CA sales tax(9.25%), assembly, 1st oil change, and a CA license plate. The dealer did not charge me a documentation fee to go to the DMV for me.

Now, add the CSC TT250(No haggle price of $2195) assembly($195), sales tax($202), CA title and license plate (approx $50) documentation fee($45), crating($150), and shipping(free right now I see), the out the door price of the TT250($2,837) could actually be higher than what I paid for the XF250.

The TT250 appears to be an awesome bike for the price, I just want to point out that the MSRP and actual purchase price can be very different.

Almost forgot, the XF has a 2.5 Gallon Tank.

The Qlink XF and XP 200's have 2.8 gallon tanks. Are the SSR's really smaller? That would be a step down IMO.

You bought that from Doug at ATV Wholesale, if I remember right? That's a great price!

One thing that has to be kept in mind is that you don't necessarily compare the Qlink/SSR (QingQi) bikes to other CB's that are drastically less in price. You compare them to the Japanese competition and compare what you get for so much less than the Japanese bikes.

Your SSR XF250 for 2700.00 is a superior bike regarding design and modern tech compared to the Suzuki DR200 for 4850.00....and I'll even put build quality right there with it.

David I think if I top it off entirely it might be 2.8 gallons. I wonder if SSr says 2.5 to reduce warranty claims for leaking gas caps and peeling tank paint?? I certainly would appreciate a 3 gallon tank like the TT250 comes with.

2lz I got mine from Kronik Racing in Simi Valley, CA.

Kronik do not seem to push themselves as much as they could/should. They carry quite a few products. Since they are smack dab in the middle of California and sell several brands of mini, including the low price leader Vader, someone should call them and find out if the Vader is street-legal in California, or merely 'green sticker' off-road? That would make it one more alternative to the scooters a California resident can get to tool around on.
