Prompt, whether on a motorcycle Gas Gas "EC CAMI 250 F" has an engine ZS 177 MM (nc250)?

Welcome. We are glad you joined us. :hi:

Yes, I believe the Gas Gas, EC 250 Cami has the same engine as the Zongshen RX3. Here are several photographs of the NC250 (ZS 177MM) engine in the Gas Gas motorcycle.

Why Gas Gas and AJP not mention what kind of engines installed on Cami and PR5?

Hi guys. Joe from CSC here.

Thanks for your continuing interest in us.

Here are two or three inputs:

We are not rebadging the bike. We are proud of the fact that it is a Zongshen. It's a first-class motorcycle from a first-class company, and we wouldn't present it as anything other than what it is.

We are indeed the company that will be bringing the RX-3 to Canada. The process is well underway and we expect to be selling in Canada within the next couple of months.

I put a few miles on the RX-3 today on the freeway, and then on a pretty gnarly local goat trail. You folks on Chinariders.net are seeing these videos first....

Wow, anywhere close to 84mph would be a bonus! Was that all she had?

If you're importing bikes into the US and then distributing to Canada, the cost is likely to be prohibitive to me. We're not going to see the terrific pricing that my American friends are paying for a new RX-3.

I've seen that before, most recently with Cleveland Cycle Works. You're in business to make money, and it's totally reasonable that you'll need to pass the shipping and import fees onto Canadian buyers. I'm just saying that it would be better for our wallets if the RX-3 was imported directly into Canada, rather than through the US.

Nevertheless, I'm excited to see them on Canadian soil.

Good question. It looks very similar!

I like that the Gas Gas has a kicker. I bet it would be adaptable to the RX-3.

I think they want us to believe it is a Gas Gas motor.

I wonder if the Gas Gas suspension link would bolt onto an RX-3...

I've pondered the same question, which proves that great minds think alike. After examining the photographs, I think the lower shock linkage from the Gas Gas, and similar bikes which employ the NC250 engine, would fit the Zongshen RX3.

I also surmise the forks, swingarm, shock absorber, and both wheels from the Zongshen ZS150GY-10 might fit the new RX3. ;)

I have considered that possibility. The kick start lever, associated gears, and right crankcase cover are readily available at Taobao. :) However, the frame of the RX3 is different from the dirt bikes which employ the the NC250 engine, all of which have the kick starter. The RX3 frame is wider, and extends farther from the engine. Therefore, I surmise the frame of the RX3 would probably obstruct the kick start lever, and one can't install it on the RX3. :ohno: However, we will know better regarding this matter after the RX3 arrives in North America. ;)

The Gas Gas, EC 250 Cami has the NC250 engine with a carburetor. Here is a video of the Gas Gas bike in action. ;)

Here's another iteration of the NC250 engine in the AJP PR250 Pro. I really like this bike and almost bought it before purchasing my CRF. The engine is noted for its linear smooth tractable power. A really good trait for a woods/trail bike.

SpudRider 11-21-2014 02:02 PM

I see the AJP PR5 bike has the Delphi EFI.
