Loncin RE250 6 speed
 

I found a good replacement engine for our China bikes. Loncin RE250 6 Speed Not bad for around $530. 6 speed and counter balance :tup: I wish these bikes would of came with this engine. Sure would be nice to have 6 speeds. I figured I would post this just in case someone was in need of an engine. Hell might just get one to do it. :hehe:

Wonder if they will bolt right up without any modifications? That is a great price considering the extra gear and being counterbalanced.

It's OHC too!
I think this is the motor that Fastdoc once put in an XR200. Not sure if it was a six speed though.

I think the modifications would be minimal. Maybe just mounting brackets. It comes with carb and electronics too. ANd bottle of fish oil :hehe:

Might be the next mod for the Bashan WILL 200... 6 speeds, OHC engine, and 223cc's sounds great to me :lol:...

I also found a few sweet oil coolers on that yoycart website... just don't know what one to pick... I can't read the "Description" page and all the translator websites claim it's already translated into English :hehe:

Might not be technically legal to ship here. They would be happy to take your money, and send the engine, but it might end up getting confiscated at the port. Don't want to be a buzzkill, but someone had to bring it up.

Fender clearance is still an issue wit that style. Also not a stacked plate but rather a finned cooler. Should have my prototype this week.....

Regarding confiscation so if it is not going on a street bike why would it be confiscated? Just trying to understand.

That is the only reason I have not bought one yet. I much rather have the stack plate cooler.

Every gasoline engine is supposed to be EPA certified. As far as whole bikes go, they are either on-road or off-road, and my guess is, the same is true of replacement engines. This engine, and I am assuming it is not EPA certified, is not supposed to be shipped here. It might make it through, but if enough people order them, eventually they run the risk of confiscation. They are shipped directly from China, so there is no risk for the seller, only the buyer. My post is just an fyi and individual circumstances probably will vary (i.e. some making it through)

You might have to strap on some lead boots if you put any more HP on that bike. :p With 6 gears and a couple more ponies you might hit 80 mph lol
