Florida- RPS not registered with NHTSA
 

I received my Magician and MCO in the beginning of April. I brought all the paperwork to the tax collector on the 8th, the lady at the counter said that she couldn’t find “RPS” as a make in their system. We tried Ricky Power Sports; no luck. She then said she would submit a request to add it in their system. I checked back a week later, she then said that they couldn’t add it because it’s not in the NHTSA database. I contacted Ricky Power Sports, they told me to look up Chonqing Haosen. I went back to the tax collector, we looked it up, and it IS in their system but the make would have to say “HAOS” under “make” on MCO, not “RPS”. I thought maybe it was just an issue with the girl I was talking to, so I acted naive and went to a different tax collector location; however after an hour of discussing it with a rep and supervisor; the same conclusion was made.
How have others registered this in Florida, yet I’m running into this issue? Does your title say RPS for the MAKE?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
