Hello and welcome from the Philippines. This is a Honda XR 150L sold in the Philippines and other SE Asia countries. Just thought you'd like to see a few photos of my new bike. I'm a novice rider and a retired ex-pat from the USA.

Nice bike. Looks like a great in town bike and a great trail bike for smaller legged people. What are the wheel sizes? I like the tires. What brand are they?

Welcome! That's a sweet little bike.

Thank you for the compliments. It's a nimble lightweight bike that's good for my skill level.....Novice. The tire sizes are 90/90-19 front and 110/90-17 rear. The seat height is about 33 inches. It has a 5 speed transmission and seems a little high geared. I'm still getting used to it.

I was going to buy a Zongshen Z250R Adventure bike, but after consulting with Spudrider and Weldangrind , I decided against it. In the Philippines there is no support for those bikes even though they sell them here. Parts have to be ordered online from China and you get hit with outrageous import duties. Also because I have no mechanical skills I felt it was better to buy a bike that has a good dealer network here in the Philippines. I really like the looks of the Zongshen though and hope they develop a parts and service network here.

Cheng Shin. Very good. Looks like a nice 50/50 pattern. I bet that's a very nimble around-town bike.

The ZS is great but your decision to go Big Red was sound. I'm sure the Honda will give you amazing service and reliability. That design has been refined for about 35 years.

Yes, it is very nimble and you really need it here. FYI.....I paid $1800 usd for the bike and feel it was a good deal. I looked at a Honda CRF 250L but felt the price $5200 usd was high for the bike.

Philippine traffic is unlike anything in North America. You need to have your head on a swivel and be prepared for the unexpected at all times. In less than one week I've avoided hitting 2 dogs and a bull sleeping on the road. I never knew retirement could be so exiting.....lol. Take Care

For what it is worth, I am from the San Francisco Bay area. Filipino drivers there are not characteristically known for their expertise LOL

How did you wind up in the Philippines?

Seems like an amazingly excellent price. Do you know if it is made in the Philippines? For $1800, I don't think that you could beat that.

This is what the Hawk 250 is based on. Would it be possible to see a picture of the connection of the carb boot to the air box? The one on the Hawk can be a bit dodgy and it would be nice to see what it should look like.

From what the local Philippine Honda dealer told me. The Bike's engine is made in Japan, the frame is made in Thailand and everything else is made here in the Philippines and final assembly is conducted here in PH. This is done to avoid a big import duty that is imposed on fully assembled bikes that are imported into the country.
