Why AC?

Why is my quad dancing AC inverted from DC into the coil?
Is there a reason, or just because?

Regards,
Dak

To save time, AC=Alternating Current
DC I'm sure you guessed but, = Direct Current

DC is the natural state of current, that statement should at least get more responses... lol

because AC is what the stator puts out... when you have a wrapped core (stator) placed in a magnetic field that alternates (spinning flywheel) it creates ac current naturally, due to the NSNSNSNSNSNSNSNSNSNS constant switching of the fields polarity due to the flywheel spinning..

also, you use a full rectifier to create the DC current, to power lights and charge the battery. so effectively, you are converting the ac current from the engine to dc to power your lights and such, not the other way around.
