Took Swamp Thing out this morning and fired right up ran great! For those that have asked I totaled everything up and I'm all in $523.00, not bad.

Well that a good deal so far. Counting the cash is like counting the cost per bird in dove hunting eventually starts going the wrong way:hehe:. But your way ahead on the psychiatric fees.:lmao:

Yeah that's probably the last time I'll do the math! :p

I discourage math also. Count the grin factor.

So last night feeling good about Swamp Thing so decided to tear into the indicator lights and see why not working. So the good news is it is fully functional. The bad news I have to find those tiny builds it uses, all three where burned out. Going to try the local auto parts store this morning so we'll see how that goes.

Also put my speedometer back together, it was all loose and rattling but once I got it off and cleaned up turned out to be just two loose screws.

The bulbs shouldn't be hard to find.

Bright ..almost too bright but any change to led s mean that they will virtually last a lifetime.

These are the small t5 size

Do they just plug into the existing socket? If so I may need to upgrade!

Yes, Known as a wedge bulb. Looks like you already got it taken care of. Even incandescent bulbs should last long time but doing lots of high speed on gravel is apt to cause lots of vibrations and failure, I went with 100% led to be done with it.

They fit, I think one of them I beefed up with a little foil for a tighter fit.

The licence plate bulb and the speedometer bulb was the t10 wedge. Don't over tighten the speedometer mount bolts and ruin the odo gears like I did if you replace bulb

Led s update the overall look and make it more modern feel.

Detours found some awesome park/signal/blinkers stalk lights for his rx3 which I would have liked to have found but I already replaced mine before he found those

How does the speedometer come apart to replace the bulb? That's on thing I haven't figured out yet. Doe the trim ring unscrew or something? I don't want to break it but I'd like to replace the bulb.

Nevermind I figured it out. I was making it too hard, just a little socket plug in the back haha.

Fixed the speedo light. Bad bulb and corroded socket. Used one of those little LED. Worked nice, thanks for the tip blackbike  picture keeps showing blurry but is crystal clear in person.

I'd be tempted to black out the KMH dial, and put the MPH numbers out there. Does the odometer read in miles, or klicks.
