RX3 Tuner?

I'm probably late to the party but is this just generic stuff or really for the RX3?

Oh...oh...oh...I just got a chill up my spine. This is new to me! I'd love to hear what CSC says about these and if they've tested/approved them and have any feedback.

I just hit their website and did a search for RX3: http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/searc...its/rx3/page-0

Got 4 pages of hits on product. I also shot an email to CSC to see if they've heard of them or have any experience with them.

I'll report back!

With any luck, a little "low end" may be in our future!

Gerry from CSC said he's never heard of them. But, he said he's going to check it out. Will let you know what I hear.

I wouldn't get too excited. I typed *Hodaka* in their search box and it gave 94 hits.

Try it for yourselves. Pick a random motorcycle and see what Awesome Incrediblishness it comes back with.

I talked to the good people over at EJK, they told me that the controller for the AGP PR5 will hook up and work since it uses the same Delphi module our bikes use, and the same engine. HOWEVER, they also said that the "green" adjustment would not work because of something to do with the 02 sensor. They are busily working to resolve that. Once that is done I will have one on my RX3 with a quickness, and a K&N filter to go with the new exhaust.

That makes two of us! I have the exhaust on already and an Uni filter ready to rock.

Did anything ever come from this? There are a number of EJK related threads where people expressed anticipation, but it doesn't seem that anything came to fruition.

Just thought I would check in case I missed something. Was wondering if this might play nice with a 300cc upgrade.

AJP PR5 has a similar EFI and same motor - EJK might be able to make one if you took the bike in and they are in Montana

The Power Commander V for the Benelli TNT135 will almost certainly work. That was what I was going to use with the RX3 and 300cc kit.

I know there are some who say you don't need a tuner; my Dyno tuner disagrees strongly. The ECU can adapt somewhat on its own over some of the rev range (generally part throttle and low to medium RPMs) but when in open-loop operation the ECU cannot adapt to the larger displacement, so it ends up running quite lean at full throttle and high RPM. Those who say that they got a boost from the big-bore kit in the mid-range but nothing on the top end, would seem to be confirming exactly that.

If doing a 300cc kit, I would highly recommend getting it tuned or at least using the wideband autotuning kit available for the PC V.

There are a lot of bikes and scooters using Delpi EFI, so this encouraging.

Links please! No one ever posted links and plenty ask!
There is a Delphi MT-05.02 or something ECU and looks the same but maybe wont tune?? again no one ever posted links or results.

I cannot verify that this will absolutely work 100%, only that both Dynojet and my tuner said that it should work. I plugged it into my RX3 and the bike started right up, which is the test my tuner suggested running.

I asked Dynojet about the difference between an MT05 and MT05.2 tuner. They said that in their opinion the MT05.2 unit was more likely to be the correct one because it is designed for single cylinder use.

Just as an FYI, the EJK tuners work based largely on the type of fuel injector connector you have. They hook up to the injectors not the ECU itself, and vary the pulse width sent to the injector.

Charles.
