Bashan Forks/Parts Vendors?
 

I am interested in purchasing a pair of the new USD forks employed by the Bashan Brozz, Bashan Storm, et cetera. Does anyone know a domestic vendor who sells these Bashan forks? The Bashan USD forks are very similar to the ones shown in the photograph below.

Here are the dimensions of these 37mm, USD Chinese forks.

Diameter of inner fork tube: 37mm
Diameter of fork at upper triple clamp: 48mm
Diameter of fork at lower triple clamp: 51mm
Overall length from tops of fork caps to bottom of fork tube: 33.5 inches
Axle diameter: 12mm

I can purchase a pair of these forks from Taobao for $50/pair, but the shipping cost would probably be over $100. Therefore, I would like to know if anyone sells these forks domestically. ;)

Call Kandi USA since they used to distribute the Brozz and Shark (no USD forks for the Shark). Usually distributors are allotted spare parts, but not sure if that would include forks. Maybe they have a parts bike they tore/tear into? I do know that Excalibur has a complete new in box TMEC 200 bike minus the wheels, but not sure if that will fit and not sure if Alan or Wade will part that bike out any more than the wheels.

Duh--I have a parts TMEC 200 which I already sold the wheels off of. It has USD forks.

Don't mean to take this off topic but have you or anyone ordered from this place before? I went to order a part from them since they showed the PayPal logo in the lower left but there was no option for it at checkout.

Spud, Are these usd forks for the zong sierra with all those miles?

Yes, I am considering these forks for my Zongshen Sierra 200 (ZS200GY-2). The Zong's original forks are in good condition, and working well. However, I have never liked the "hocky puck" brake caliper on the front wheel; it is very poorly designed. After about 82,000 miles, this brake caliper still stops my bike, but it clatters all the time while riding technical terrain, and sometimes even screeches. It is not damaging the brake rotor, but I am tired of listening to it chatter away. :wtf:

The new forks are a different design from my original ZS200GY-2 forks. The new forks will accomodate the newer, better, front brake caliper which comes with the newer Chinese, dual sport bikes. :tup: I can buy a new, "hocky puck" brake caliper from Taobao for about $10, plus shipping. But I am seriously considering the switch to new forks, and the newer brake caliper, shown below. ;)

Spud, will the existing disk work with the dual piston caliper? I had the hockey puck on my X-Moto and it had a much wider (deeper?) wear band than my dual piston calipers. The disk was larger diameter, as well.

My ZS200GY-2 front wheel appears to be identical to the CSC TT250 front wheel. Also, the speedometer sending unit appears to be identical.

My front brake rotor is 265 mm in diameter. I read the TT250 brake rotor is the same diameter. Perhaps you can verify this measurement for me. Both brake rotors employ 6 bolts.

The forks of the CSC TT250 appear to be identical to the standard, Chinese USD forks. Here are some photographs and measurements of the Chinese forks. Perhaps you can verify for me the forks are the same.

If the forks, wheel, speedometer sending unit, and brake rotor are the same, then I should be able to purchase a front brake caliper from CSC which will give perfect fitment.

I assume the front brake caliper for the TT250 is the same as the brake calipers shown below. However, purchasing a front brake caliper from CSC would be a safe bet, just in case the measurements are different. ;)

If the Bashan Storm/Brozz has a 265 mm, front brake rotor, a front brake caliper from the Bashan Storm/Brozz should also be a perfect fit, since these Bashan bikes also employ the Zong's front hub. ;)

Can you verify the front brake caliper on the TT250 is the same as the photographs shown below? Thanks for all your help. :tup:
