NEENER, neener, neener... I call firsties :p on the FASTEST, fastest orange RX3 simply due to the surface area of orange paint, haven't seen anything like this on the net so far so I claim firsties.:yay:

I cahllange anyone to come on over to my house with their slower, fastest orange and I have a 100 peso's to prove mine is “the FASTEST”, fastest orange (must be stock bike, carb or EFI but no hot roding). :D

I also had the gray parts blacked out and had the crash bars repainted flat black, the OEM black is more of a dark charcoal color.

I forgot to paint the rear shock wish bone, it's still gray and I'd really like to paint the handle bar bracket and upper triple tree black, maybe latter.

Really cool job, Riceburner, and I love the "eyes" on the rondell. Best use of that logo space I have seen yet. :tup:

They call them Trikes here (maybe because they are???), you'll see them all over all the time. This style is for carrying stuff other than people, cow's chickens, pigs, water cans. I have see them put boards across it and people sit on them.

I didn't look at the bike at the time of picture but they use all kinds , makes and models; two strokers and 4 strokers, 125cc, 155cc is the most common. This looks like an under-bone frame, maybe a Rusi or Motorstar.

One day I was driving my car into the city, on the highway, there is one just like this in front of me, had maybe 8 pigs in it, stacked one on top of the other. One was trying to clime out, probably doing 40 KPH, I realized what was happening and backed off more and sure enough, that pig climbs out and falls on the road in front of me, I managed to get a picture of it but can't locate it now; no I didn't hit it but should have stopped and taken more pictures of the two guys trying to get that pig back in, must have been funny to see. :D

"See Me Syndrome"
 

I have now ridden in the city several times with this ORANGE bike, helmet and my Hi-Viz lime green jacket (I've been wearing this for over two years now) and I can attest that the cage drives "DO" see me. I can feel the difference, a little bit more room around me but still aware that not everyone is looking, still too many crazy drivers but this set up is visible; I suffer with a "See Me Syndrome" . I've had Hyperlites on all my bikes back in the US too, for many, many years.

And the Hyperlites:

First Pic: Brake applied (on), Hyperlites flash rapidly. I mounted them as high and as wide as I could, this really gets the attention of the cage drivers behind me.

Second Pic: Brakes are "not" applied, Hyperlites are always "on" as running lights. This is about 5 feet / 1.5 meter away.

Third Pic: Brakes applied at aprox. 20 feet / 6.09 meters

Forth Pic: Brakes are "not" applied at aprox. 20 feet / 6.09 meters

Bike looks great RB. Are you going to leave the fork protector plastic thingies off or change to another type of protector? rj

rjmorel, think I'm going to leave them off, I like the look of this way.

If the fork tubes are not protected, they might get damaged by rocks. A damaged fork tube will tear the fork oil seal, and the fork will leak oil. Also, dirty forks will eventually damage the fork oil seals, resulting in fork oil leaks. ;)

Good point Spud and I am aware of this possibility. When I removed the mud guards there was or course dirt and stuff under them, I'm sure they provide protection though.

I have considered adapting something else, somehow I just don't care for the look of the OEM.

You could use fork boots, or seal savers. ;)

Seal Savers might work, I'm not sure if we can get traditional fork boots on this puppy, haven't allocated the time to think this one out, have tttooooo many other things going on right now.

I.E. : LED turn signal indicators, side stand extension, hand guard install, and there is no doubt something else I have forgotten because I don't have my "The List" in front of me... :cry:

My Tank Bag and Camelback

I travel way out into the Province / back country (mostly by myself) to find the kids needing Cleft Lip and Palate surgery. I can't drink the local water (did that once and suffered for days). I've had this Camelback for years (can't remember how long) but it's been to Mexico, the great State of Canada and all over the Western US; I carry it up front on the Tank Bag for easy access, I take little sips all day long, keeps me going.:tup:

I got this tank bag for a different bike, magnet attachment with side wings that don't do any good on this bike so I removed them and had quick connect tabs attached so I can remove it for refueling.

I attached a strip of Velcro and double D-dings so I can attach the Camelback, works great for me.:yay:
