RPS 250 magician upgrade
Hey guys. This is my first post.
So I've upgraded to a 17t front sprocket, and have rejetted my stock carb to a 110. Is there anything I can do to my exhaust and/or air box to compliment my new carb jet? I'd prefer not to buy anything new, I'd rather modify the stock exhaust in any way I can. Thanks! |
I gutted the cat and removed the spark arrestor on my Magician and it sounds pretty good. There is thread on here about gutting the cat by jerryhawk. You may need a 115 and a shim under the needle afterwards.

You may need larger than a 115. I only said that because its what I have, but elevation plays a key role in that so to know for sure you'd have to do a plug chop. It was only a jumping off point. And shimming the needle means to put a small washer or two between the slide valve and the retaining clip for the needle. Basically it just moves the needle up allowing more fuel for 1/4 to 3/4 throttle. But with anything its trial and error. These are just recommendations of what has worked for others.
