With my new bike, I got my 2002 dr200se and it is awsome. I loved my ol Trailmaster but this one is on a whole notha level :D I froze by *&*% off but I rode that thing all day yesterday, They are a great bike and sooo smooth.
Good deal for $1200.00 bucks :D

ALso picked my daughter up a Yamaha Breeze 125 cc for 500.00 bucks
Runs like a champ great shape fully automatic, It was the weekend for good deals.

Great bikes.
I had a chance to buy one for the right price last year.
I regret not doing it.

I thought about passing on it and saving the money but the prices were just to good. I am very suprised by this bike....Hits sixty like nothing and reaches seventy without stressing.

Congrats on the new ride!! I had a '90 or '91 DR250s (I really can't remember which year--it might have been '92 :? ) but it was the version before the electric start. I did have some issues starting it when I first got it, but once I got it down, it was a fun bike.

I can't compare it to the DR200, as I have never ridden a recent 200 (I might be riding up your way to do a comparison test when the weather gets better up there--good excuse for a long ride!! ), but it sounds very much like the bike I used to own--and you don't have the troubles starting it like I sometimes had :D, so ride the heck out of it!!

It took me a bit to figure out the trick to starting it, No gas full choke let idle...After that i was good thought it was a pile of junk at first  You would love it Culcune..Very smooth and fast enough for me good travel and tall enough for a six foot two guy....Still a heavy sucker though.

I had the same trouble starting my Honda--kept flooding it from Chinese habit! My DR seemed heavy, too. It sounds like the perfect bike for Show Low, considering you have trails (and I bet your trails aren't made of the beach sandy-like stuff we have all around Yuma making it very uncomfortable for two wheelers, but a dream for anything on 4)and roads to ride around on.

They shut down most of the trails  Lotta Kallevornians movnig here and causing trouble :? But there are still some good places to get crazy.
Right now to much mud and snow to really do anything but I rode on the roads and had some fun. Sand is rough but snow is rougher
