The Zongshen TT 250 is Coming

CSC is definitely going to import the Zongshen TT Special. The bike is currently undergoing EPA certification tests. ;)

That's good news and must mean that the RX3 has been a financial success so far. Hope to see them import a whole line of Zongshen bikes in the future.

Maybe I can order an oil pump chain when they get their parts stock in place.

I like it, but it needs to come with a rear rack, to make it easier to install some luggage, or haul stuff (just a suggestions for while they are testing it)

I agree. I think all dual sport bikes need a strong luggage rack. :)

Pricing is not yet confirmed right? Very nice looking bike.

That's correct. I haven't seen any official price listed. However, the CSC Blog hints we are going to learn more in the near future. ;)

I believe this bike has an actual 250cc engine. In addition, CSC has ordered the bikes with USD forks, and disc brakes on both wheels.

I believe it has a rack, looks exactly like my Hawk. The rear cast aluminum rack doesn't look like much of a rack, but it is very useful. Works as well or better than the 1'st generation chinabike tubular racks, and is more attractive in my opinion.

I'd be interested in a confirmation. I've yet to see an actual 250cc CG engine that is not liquid cooled. It is more likely to be either 223cc or 230cc.

Is your oil pump chain similar to a cam chain? If so, maybe you could make one. Forum member nevernuf removed links from a cam chain that was too long for his OHC engine, using this tool: http://world.taobao.com/item/1841252...u=82e9r01sd57b

I agree. I think it's a really cool design.

It's a similar idea to the plate type cam chains but only 3 plates wide and very tiny. My guess is that most CG engines with a balance shaft use the same oil pump chain.

Have you asked Humanbeing for help?

If my memory is not failing me, Joe Berk told me it is a 249cc Zongshen engine. ;) I believe either HumanBeing, or Joe, can verify such a motor exists. :)

Weldangrind 10-19-2015 08:32 PM

No disrespect intended towards our good friend Joe. Even if 249cc is stamped on the cylinder, I'd still like to know the actual bore and stroke numbers. If such parts do exist, I'll be buying them on Taobao for my own CG motors.

I wonder if it will be iconic like your Sierra? Then again, that bike was 'different' due to the Yamaha-like engine it employed, while the fat rear tire helped it stand out. This one looks quite stout, but like someone mentioned, I hope for a standard rack. I mean, after all, that is what has made Chinabikes stand out among the mainstream competition :)
