Galaxy SUV250

Did you at all consider adding your name to the Galaxy motorcycle List?

For a brief time I looked at this bike... I like it. The reason that I didnt seriously consider it is because these very well may be the only bikes of this kind in the usa (at least according to what I was reading in the forum when I was following that particular thread) and I cant afford to be a guinea pig lol. If I had a ton of money and didnt have to definitely have something relaiable... then maybe I would just for the heck of it. But I, like a lot of the people here, need something thats at least a bit proven.

I research everything to death before making a final decision... for me to feel comfortable spending $1200 (or whatever the price would be) on an item I want to have some confidence that it has been proven reliable. I dont have the luxury of being a test subject. A since these are realatively brand new compared to other china bikes... I would not buy one.

edited to say: thats not to say they wont be great bikes etc etc... just my personal feelings

I might consider it, but I live in BC. If the Canadian feds accepted the bike, then it would be a no-brainer. The properly documented street bike process is an expensive one, so the cheaper bikes were imported as RUM only. I wouldn't want a SUV for off-road only.

We used to be able to have RUM bikes inspected for street use, but not anymore. :?

Wasn't even close to interested.....not that it's probably not a decent bike....but even if it was legal here in the PRK, it would be green sticker only (offroad). It looked to small for me, off road bikes don't have tire mounted front fenders, etc...etc...etc....
Just not something I'd even be remotely interested in. It looked like a throwback from the 60's. At least my Lifanoid is a throwback from the 80's.

I suspect many are like me, and just can't feel comfortable with this deal. The concept is great. The bike itself is probably a good bike. The price is great. Having said that, there are many other issues that make this a big gamble.

Many of us are cautious to buy a bike when we are standing there looking at it. I would like to buy one but can't do it with my careful nature.

Good luck.

I think it looks like a good bike, but without the proper importation process into Canada I wouldn't be allowed on the street, I also am not in the market for a new bike.
